It is a possibility, not a certainty, because there is a tendency for two cours, for many animes now.
This " tendency" is for plot-focused shows with different arcs, not just gore and action shows.
Maybe yes or no... it's more likely to be two (to reduce costs and production); But most of the time they really divide everything into 2 parts.

Why? The first season had 12 episodes and it's not like the entire franchise is deep enough to take 2 cour.

I am seriously looking forward to this. It was only the other day I was talking to my brother and I said I hope Goblin Slayer comes out this year. I have rewatched the first season and watched the movie. I would have prefered a more consistent art with this series but what can you do. The choice of studio is not too bad, it is just that their adaptation of Berserk let them down in my opinion. Nevertheless, happy with the news.

This change in studios leaves me nervous as most changes in studios for a sequel will, that said this studio has done some good work recently, so if a good staff is picked, it might still rock, that said I have never followed through with reading the source material after the anime, so I m in the dark on what to expect.

I totally forgot about this franchise. :P

I think the preview looks fine, though.

About time we finally get a news update about this. I almost forgot about this lol.

At least this means Liden will be to busy to ruin other adaptations.

I hope they'll use another song from Mili.

I didn't expect it to get another season. First one was pretty disappointing. Manga is a much better adaptation both in visuals and writing. Still, I'll take anything that isn't an isekai or a fake fantasy indistinguishable from an isekai. At least GS is upfront about being a D&D campaign and still doesn't have any of this skills and stats windows bullshit.

I really need to get into the series soon.

Surprised not to see White Fox not taking charge once again but hopefully Lidenfilms will be able to get a good job.

As for the PV, there was hardly anything in it so no comments, lol. Kind of hope they take as much as possible and just air in Fall '23.

I highly doubt they aren't generating revenue from one of their biggest brands.

What @MadanielFL want to say probably success of Re:Zero anime White Fox will not get profit from it. All profit like bd sales and anime merch will go to production committee like Kadokawa, ATx and others.

Basically production committee pay lot of money to White Fox to animate Rezero and profit only production committee get. White Fox get nothing from Rezero success.
Like it or not, it does not negate the fact that it is they who receive the money for the adaptation of this brand.

Hopefully LIDENFILMS will do a good job adapting it.
