you either remember or read wrongly

I said "even adaptations of obscure isekai series that sell less 10k LN" has large number of members on mal.The statement does not refer to any particular series.

Anyway my point was isekai series tend to be much well known among western fans than equally popular/well known series of other genre, therefore saying isekai is not popular among western fans sound ridiculous

Lets say isekai series that sell 1-3 million copies(LN manga combined) are often better known to western fanbase than realistic manga series that sell 5-10million copies, therefore I think isekai is rather popular genre among western fans and western fans taste is similar to that of Japanese anime fans or otaku rather than general public.

Yeah I just started reading this manga and it's a lot of fun, whenever a volume came, I always saw this green-haired weirdo on many of the Japanese sites and others selling like hotcakes
I had no idea the author was the same one who did Azumanga Daioh

Ah! Kaguya-sama! It's selling so well now. Just last year it was barely making 40K! I hope it gets an anime adaptation because it deserves it!

Also happy to see Territory M and Risouteki Boyfriend in the list. :)

Some Isekai are well done but some.. i dont know it even got there but since its Manga it kinda make sense.

Manga still sold better than LN, try to check on LN section those stuff rarely sold above 30k unless its very popular.
