Wonder when they will release Pandora Hearts 23. Hope to see it in top 5.

Naruto barely passing 1 million? Even that is much for that...

NNT broke the 900K mark, and TG seems that they will hit the 800K mark.

Whats funny is that their respective animes are inferior to the manga.

Same could be said for Magi. The anime was average compared to the manga.

NNT and TG have had the same growth once their anime came out.

Sucks for the seasons TG re Season 1 and NNT Season 2 wont happent in about 2-3 years(unless there are plans for OVAs).

Though their fanbase are mostly filled with fans disappointed in FT and Bleach.

Amanchu! seems to have had quite a bump from what I last remember. I wonder if it is related to the Aria announcement? Either way I'm deffo happy to see more of Amanchu.

EDIT

Vol8 of Amanchu had sales of 25k for the first week. Volume 9 first week sales of 63k is a HUGE bump!

Doesn't seem much of a boost (if any), if you actually looked at how long Vol.9 and Vol.8 were on sale when their 1st week sales were known. Vol.9 was on sale for 6 days, Vol.8 on sale for 2 days, so that would explain why Vol.8 only sold ~26k in its 1st week.

Comparing to previous volumes on sale for a similar amount of time... Vol.3 was on sale for 6 days as well, selling 95k in its 1st week and the more recent Vol.5 was on sale for 5 days (1 day less than Vol.9), selling 76k in its 1st week.

But I understand, since MAL doesn't even bother putting in some vital information that enables proper comparisons between previous volumes, unlike on 2ch. You can see from here, that any volume which has been on sale for 2 days or less for Amanchu, end up selling less in the 1st week than the following week.

Ahh ... yes I see. Thanks for clarifying that. It is a pity that that extra information is not on MAL. I did notice that Vol8 had something like 60k sales by the end of the 2nd week as reported on MAL so I guess I should have twigged that something was up. Anyway .. at least it's pretty decent sales.

I expected more from Naruto tbh. It sold nearly five times less than last week. Generally the decrese from the first week to the second is rarley more than three times so it seems like most people bought the volume in the first week than usual. I expected it to reach 1.7 mil at the end of the year with that first week sale but I'll revise that to 1.5 mil... which is still greater than any other Naruto volume's yearly sale so all is good.

One Piece is on the roll, still in the Top 20 after 8 consecutive weeks.

The last volume to sell this well was volume 70 or 67.

It was on sale for 5 days in the 1st week... how can you expect that much sales in the 2nd week? Here are the sales of previous volumes of Naruto with comparable amount of days on sale in their 1st weeks. I left out Vol.71 and 70 because they were released prior to their official release date, and Vol.69 was on sale for 3 days in its 1st week (which resulted in week 2 having 50% of the sales as week 1).

*1 -- *,874,120 *,874,120 **1 5 NARUTO-ナルト- 72
*2 *1 *,186,887 1,061,007 **2 - NARUTO-ナルト- 72

Week 2: 21.38% of 1st week sales

*1 -- *,653,624 *,653,624 **1 5 NARUTO-ナルト- 67
*3 *1 *,164,277 *,817,901 **2 - NARUTO-ナルト- 67

Week 2: 25.13% of 1st week sales

*1 -- *,679,096 *,679,096 **1 5 NARUTO-ナルト- 66
*1 *1 *,172,373 *,851,469 **2 - NARUTO-ナルト- 66

Week 2: 25.38% of 1st week sales

You are right that more did buy in the 1st week than the 2nd week, but it was simply 4% more than normal... In reality it is way further from the 33% or higher of 1st week sales in the 2nd week. Perhaps you are comparing to volumes which had 1st weeks of 4 days or less, which would make more sense?
