I'm reading S;G 0. The best part of it is Okabe's PTSD and the interaction between Okabe and AI girl.

The best scene(more like a rollercoaster of scenes) should happen around the middle in ep 12-13 and will probably be the highlight of the series, strong enough to surpass impact of the original, although there are other strong emotional scenes as well. If they do the directing well it could be one of the most epic scenes you have seen, the buildup to it is superb and just thinking about it already gives me the chills.

Thanks for the information. I should reach that point soon

Only Leskinen, Reyes, Kagari and Maho contribute to the story progression in SG;0. Fubuki is somewhat important but Yuki and Kaede are pretty much filler characters.

I’m pretty sure a lot of people are going to be disappointed in SG;0 because of the nature of midquel. The story is not going to go move forward. There will only be more information regarding the timeline and a lot of them left unanswered in the VN; Thus, causing more confusion.

Well sure... side characters exist. At least we knew about them from the original when Mayuri mentioned them. Of course, the VN could have used them better still, and the anime could improve them as well.. but not everyone is supposed to be important, at least they give some more human/outside side to the things. Kaede also helped in one scene at least. XD

If the anime does a good(better) job at explaining things, it could be a good enough series not to disappoint people. There's lots of new information regarding things, even if some of them aren't directly answered. I can see some moments might trigger some people at first, but in the overall picture they should understand why they happen like that.

Still though, I wasn't impressed with how a certain character was depicted in S;G 0 :/

so no anime of the year?
Nah, the VN is still amazing, even if it's not perfect. The anime can fix up those problems though, if they choose to do so.

@GoldenDevilGamer It did not come up with that existing db when I searched with にしむらまや (Hiragana) instead of 西村麻耶 (Kanji), which the official lists her under Hiragana), so I had to add a new one. Thanks.

20 plus episodes... Thank the gods for that. I'll still keep my expectations low though.

Zero had lots of plotholes so hope the anime fixes them at least, still a shadow of the original content/VN.

Nah, not really "plot holes", but they could have done a better job that's for sure. I think the anime will have a better presentation and thus will be better than the VN.
Basically this. There's no plot-holes in S;G 0, just a lot of messy plot-points here and there. The VN just heavily relies on other materials, such as the novels and drama CDs, to clarify the plot points. Hopefully the anime incorporates those in.

Still though, I wasn't impressed with how a certain character was depicted in S;G 0 :/

Btw, why does Nishimura Maya have a new entry when she already has one here: https://myanimelist.net/people/30785/Maya_Nishimura
@tsubasalover I think this one should be linked instead.

But in any case, I'd better finish the original Gate first, right?
Of course, what are you waiting for?

I myself do not know. But I definitely have to make it before the next season.

@Aquamirror Thanks.

There is no such thing as direct sequel/alternate continuity given the theme of the anime. You may consider the case to be both or you may not.

Do it. Even reading the synopsis of S;G 0 already spoils stuff. It's a midquel that expands and is a part of the original ending.

Every time I see news about Zero, I remember that I still need to watch the original series. I in fact correctly understand, it is practically direct sequel\alternative continuity?

Mar 16, 2018 7:39 AM by RobertBobert

So 22 episodes and 1 unaired or 23 and 1 unaired?
Never mind, I read it on S;G 0 forum.
