Most anime sales are front end loaded so there is almost no chance of a meaningful amount of additional sales.

yas get it KnK, I'm so glad it's selling well bc I saw it in theatres when I had the chance and liked it so much more than the manga

Well at least Rakugo got #1 this week.

Still glad to see Koe no Katachi doing well. Seiren's low sales doesn't surprise me tbh.

yoi is now the 4th best selling anime since 2000 (or 4th anime with the highest average sales) with an average of 67,420 and that spot belonged to love live s2 before... see? there was no comaprison
also beating bake's sales is impossible with declining physical sales

Well...I think they're just stating a fact relevant to the topic since disc sales of anime throughout history is something that's actually being recorded and chronicled. Talking about outside sources of earnings beyond disc sales is kind of irrelevant in this context.

Anyway, on one hand I got so thrilled seeing Rakugo at the top....but then I saw the number lol RIP.

comparing it to love live is kinda irrelevant. if you want something amazing beat bakemonogatari sales which is the highest. or else ur just pinning fans against fans for no reason.

Not a shock at this point in time but...wow Seiren sure tanked in terms of sales. But, at leas that is fitting since it really was mediocre. Wasn't close to capturing what made Amagami an enjoyable series to watch.

Confirmed. Yuri on ice needed only 700+ copies to top Love Live 2. Volume 6 sold 900+. So now It's the 4 most sold anime since 2000.
