The good news is Accel World did get a movie this year, so maybe it will get a S2 in the next 3-5 years hopefully. I wish the AW fans the best of luck (:. Speaking of what should be getting another season is poor old Index. Every fan, the VA's, Kamchi and who ever else work on the series would love to see one last season of it. But, if its not going to help ASCII Media Works (Denegki) fudge everyone else and their feelings. I understand and respect their a business and they have to make money, but it won't kill them just to do something for fans now and again. The Index fanbase has been thorough hell and back for the past 2 years with teasing and stuff.

As always, sadly, what we want or think is needed does not matter. Only the production committee, in this case mostly the publisher, matters here. Another season rarely increases readership. It sold well for discs in season 1, almost 10K average but that was 4 years ago. Most season 2's drop in disc sales and they may feel a 5K season 2 isn't worth it for disc sales alone when the novels are still selling just fine. It seems like they'd rather give anime to newer projects instead. It sucks but it's business. Compare this with SAO which got multiple seasons, 36k s1 and 20.1K s2; big drop but still worth it, probably even for SAO III. There are a few projects which receive sequels for no apparent reason (when looking at sales) but Accel World doesn't seem to be one of them.

Pretty much this ^ Accel world is a lot like magical index in that its, Light novel is still a top seller but who knows when we will get a sequel.

It really doesn't seem that popular but I loved the anime, and the sales always seem above average, so why?

It really needs a season 2 already.. Season 1 came out over 3 years ago

<3 I missed that one getting out, nice. And 7th ranked with 7k, not bad.

And apparently Mahoiku's new volume doesn't even make the chart the week it was released. woops.

Really hope Honzuki no Gekokujou gets more attention. Quite an underrated series.
