A news brief published in the July 2016 issue of Newtype magazine, which will go on sale on June 10, has announced additional cast members for Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hachi Gakari 2nd. A key visual for the series was also revealed.

The sequel series of the original anime Active Raid, which aired in the winter quarter earlier this year, will begin airing in July on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, and BS NTV. The series is created by director Gorou Taniguchi of the Code Geass franchise.

Last week, it was also announced that seiyuu Tomoyo Kurosawa will perform Active Raid 2nd's ending theme song titled "Field Trip!!" as her character Liko. The song will be released as a CD single on July 27.

and tbh the first season of Active Raid was a completely sh*t and they put all of cons in it and tbh they put all of their efforts in Haifuri rather than Active Raid

She is still actively working as a seiyuu?
I think she say want to retired from seiyuu work last year

Hmm still debating on whether or not I should continue onto the sequel I had a hard time completing the first season :/ but if they decide to add some romance in the anime I'll give it a try :D Hopefully Kuroki and Kazaki get together it would really make the anime worth watching all the whole chasing after criminals thing is kinda boring.

I don't know why there are people complaining about this show having a second season?
Wasn't this show was announced as split cours from the start?
Some people are just uninformed.

Wasnt like the S1 complete shit? :p

Most of it was tolerable, but the antagonists were complete shit. Nothing worse than angry, pseudo-intellectual teenagers.

The animation was great, the character designs were great, and the OP/ED was great. The only thing it was lacking was story. not enough info was given about any of the characters hopefully we'll have more of that in the 2nd season.

Active Raid was okay. Not great, not terrible. Just alright.

Japanese disc sales were about average. Higher than certain shows from the same season, but obviously not at the top of the list. It won't be incredibly popular, no doubt, yet there is a limited fanbase for the series.

Hopefully they will tweak a few things in order to make the villains more interesting this time around, but I don't think the show will change a lot.

The new cast seems nice enough on paper. I'd rather have more details about each new character though.

I don't think the first season was well received or popular anywhere. I painted it as a mediocre show nobody cared about when it was airing. So it's kinda silly for it to be getting another season when there are so many good shows that have only had one season.
Its not silly it was split cour anyways.

Besides it had pretty good viewership. The west liking or hating it means nothing.

Good point.

Well, I won't touch it but it'll be there for those who enjoyed it.

Nope. Mal has a bias against mecha in general. Besides its a bit like Super Sentai which most westerns arent a fan of. So a mixture of that shows an unfavorable rating on mal.

Not going to excuse it and say its amazing but its def entertaining. There is a good story to be told and its telling it.
