'Sidonia no Kishi' Movie Announced and Second Season to Include 'Blame!' [Updated]

It has been announced that Sidonia no Kishi will receive an anime movie which will be a recap of the first season with additional scenes and re-edited sound effects. The movie will premiere in March 6, 2015 and the second season of Sidonia no Kishi will then air in Spring 2015.

Update
The source of the scan also mentioned that Blame!, another series by mangaka Tsutomu Nihei, will also be animated as part of the Sidonia no Kishi series. The adaptation of Blame! is expected to be animated within the eighth episode of the second season.

I don't know how much of Blame! they plan to adapt. They can safely much skip most of the story up to the point

But after that, if they end it early, they're only going to be leaving a bunch of unanswered questions. IMO it'd be better to do Netsphere Engineer as an original and run bits of Blame for backstory purposes.

TBH, I didn't really enjoy Biomega. Compared to Blame and Sidonia, it felt more like an expendable action flick.

I couldn't get that "as a part of anime" but every story of Nihei is connected to each other maybe Tsumugi, Tanikaze, Izana and Yuhata will watch Blame! as a movie but anyways they should make the movie i want cause its epic!

Yes, it does, but what if they adapt Biomega, insert another BLAME! episode, and then go with BLAME!

Then it would have made more sense to go for Biomega first since its again more easily adaptable than BLAME! (which in my opinion is impossible to adapt without destroying it in the process).

It will be catastrophic if we see a by the numbers dumbed down adaptation like Sidonia...I'll cry. I'll cry a lot.

Though I cant lie, that little PV got my blood boiling from excitement :D

Edit: I also find it funny how they misspelled Killy's name in the PV's subtitles.

I am thinking they are testing the waters for BLAME adaptation.

After all BLAME is far less "safe" to adapt than SIDONIA.

So after S2 of SIDONIA they can air BLAME anime while SIDONIA catches up.

Then test BIOMEGA same way and do BIOMEGA anime.
