I only watched 2 or 3 episodes of Arpeggio and dropped it,. In my opinion it doesn't deserve high sales unless it gets way better in later episodes.

It does get way better in the later episodes, although ultimately it's a series like IS which you watch for the characters rather than for the plot so it's probably not for little kids.

I tip my hat to you Arpeggio.

Overall, I'm really glad to see that Infinite Stratos 2 didn't have anywhere near the drop Stalker was calling for it. I still feel confident in it maintaining a 16-18k average and should be top show of the season.

Kuroko Basuke said hi.

Thats on pace to sell about 13k. It would need to be grossly underestimated to beat IS2, and its not doing the same kinda rankings on Animate the first season did.

Never underestimate the fujoshis.
And the fact that they buy from storefront much more heavily than other titles so Stalker tends to underestimate Kuroko's Basuke quite badly.

The normal anime casual American mindset seems to be that shows full of cute girls = for girls, and shows full of manly guys = for guys. How little do they know...

How little indeed...

I didn't watch Non Non Biyori but judging from the pictures from MAL, this anime looks very childish. Maybe it is good anime for young children, but I might be wrong

It's always amusing to read things like this. The target audience for Non Non Biyori is roughly 18-35 males. The manga runs in Monthly Comic Alive, a seinen anthology. The anime airs after midnight like any other late night anime. It is not and never was aimed at children.

So that's a couple of fairly significant underestimations but I'd say both of those shows picked up a lot of late momentum, difficult for Stalker to predict that so early on.

Well, NNB was estimated 6.5k in its final week. And during its last week, it also got its biggest boost. So it was no surprise it was underestimated, since stalker stopped adding points during its release week.

edit :
Here are a few estimates from 1 month after autumn started.
5.5k Non Non biyori -> Sold 8.3k-8.5k~ first week(just a rough estimate on the DVD's).
6.5k Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio -> Sold 10k first week.

So they can be rather far off. But its possible to know that won't flop.
That turns out to be a very good estimate of NNB v1 DVD as we now know it was between 874 (Uncut Edition of the Live-action Drama "When a Man Falls in Love") and 900... well done, 8K get for NNB v1!!! Thanks to jmal's detective work to find the mysterious #131 below NNB v1 at #129 we know what it is.

Bakemontari/monogatari series are crap. Most overrated anime of all time. Aside from hot looking chicks there is noting good about it. The anime is about boring long dialogues that I could not understand. I was bored to death when I was trying to watch it.

I only watched 2 or 3 episodes of Arpeggio and dropped it,. In my opinion it doesn't deserve high sales unless it gets way better in later episodes.

This is awesome :3

Seeing Hunter x Hunter: Last Mission CD on that list really makes me curious about the soundtrack now. A few more months till BD's I guess. Nice to see Idolmaster and Kill la Kill up there as well.

The domination of monsters university in the anime charts has been really great (Even the dailies of this day it is still dominating). The ones who are actually putting up a fight is just madoka, monogatari and geass and shingeki.
While I'm not complaining, hopefully this year we will have something like madoka or monogatari tier sales for bluray to keep up with THE pixars and disneys and ghiblis.
Just a bit sad to see pixar shows consistent at 2/3/4 while the supposed big sellers last year where just 5-20th place below.

Btw dailies....will be relying on ejc to translate since I'm lazy.
BD
2 モンスター
12 ギアス
13 傾
16 シュガーラッシュ
17 銀魂
20 もののけ

DVD
5 メカクシティ
8 μ's

Monstas (University one assumes)
Giasu (Code Geass)
Kabuki (monogatari 1)
Sugar Rush (Wreck it Ralph Japanese title)
Gintama
Mononoke

Mekaku City V's
μ's (likely 3rd anniversary concert, probably not fandisc)

DYNAMITE! So glad to see NNB neko-punching its way in the chart. Volume 1 contains episode 1 and 2 right? Now I'm excited to see the sales for volume 2 with the legendary episode 4 in it.

It won't be higher than v1. v1 came with an event ticket and stuff. The question is just how much it'll drop - hopefully not much.

Ahh that makes sense. Hopefully doesn't drop too much. But wouldn't it be weird to buy volume 1 and not complete it? I know it happens for a lot of other titles but...*scratches head*
