Otome Visual Novel 'Juuza Engi: Engetsu Sangokuden' to be Animated

Otome visual novel producer Otomate and its parent producer IDEA FACTORY, announced in a fan event, Otomate Party 2013, that the otome visual novel "Juuza Engi: Engetsu Sangokuden," will get an anime adaptation. The visual novel, with Tei Dai's characters design and Nobuo Uematsu's music, shipped for PSP on May 24, 2012, and the following is the synopsis:

The Juuza. That is the name given to those of the 13th Zodiac: the cat people. Seen as a vulgar and contemptuous race, they live a life of seclusion away from human eyes. However, as the end of the Han Dynasty draws near, the rise of the Yellow Scarves has thrown the land of the Three Kingdoms into turmoil. As armies converge, a young Juuza woman named Kan'u and her village are forced out of their peaceful lives as Sousou and his punitive force press their way into the village.

This is a one-only episode OVA, about 30 min.
According to OTOMEDIA December issue it is set for release Spring 2014.

Two main cast that I could make out from the preview.

Zhang Fei: Nobuhiko Okamoto
Xiahou Dun: Tatsuhisa Suzuki

Wonder what the audition results are if main cast will be the same as the game.
Maybe for the heroine's voice or sub characters, or they were just looking for new talents.

While I agree that there are better choices for an otome adaptation, I think that the game is actually good. Despite being from Otomate, Hiroi Ouji (famous for his work in Sakura Taisen series) was the one who was in charge of the scenario so the story turned out to be interesting.

Why do you compare it to Hiiro no Kakera? They're not similar at all, only that both of them are from Otomate. Jyuuzaengi has more action and adventure, it is based on Romance of 3 Kingdoms and different staff.

Actually the game is very well received, and I've heard a lot of good things about it from Japanese and western bloggers ^_^
