| I don't really care Two gay males romancing or a heterosexual romance does nothing at all for me and is as interesting as watching paint dry. Don't hate it, don't love it, I just don't care =P But when two girls are romancing flirting or kissing my world starts to spin =) and I yell YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES So I'm only interested in Yuri and lesbians, the rest is not for me  |

| Absolutely obsessed with it. Unfortunately there are barely any yaoi/BL anime and those that exist are mostly trash. But the yaoi manga and manhwa world is fortunately big and beautiful |

| As a straight guy I would never watch it. I don't need another reason. The closest thing to yaoi/BL I've ever watched was Banana Fish, which wasn't even the main theme of this show and BL vibes were mild at most. |

| i don't watch it nor do i like it. but yaoi is just yuri or shoujo but with both mc being male. i'd say i like the concept (romance) but not the implementation (with 2 dudes). |

| I'ma hetero guy, so I don't care for them for fanservice reasons, if one happens to have something extra to offer me then I can give it a go, which hasn't happened much. I have seen a few OVAs and even hentai, but not yet any TV series (unless you count Banana Fish as one). I'm curious about Yuri on ice, I will watch it eventually, tho probably won't enjoy it much. |

| It's not a tag I follow, but if a show I'm watching and enjoying has some of it, I'm ok with. I don't like romance in general so a anime focused on any combination of ff/mm/fm/whatever will need something more to catch my attention. |
| Current yaoi landscape seems to be suffering from critical lack of furry/anthropomorphic characters. Until the industry noticably increases this factor in animated contex, I won't show great interest to yaoi. Manga, on the other hand, does have a significantly large collection to be enjoyed by all the furry enthusiasts, even on the spicier sides of things. |
| used to think I hated yaoi but I eventually came to the conclusion that I actually had no problem with yaoi itself, I just didn't like fujoshis, so I guess my answer is that I don't care about yaoi |

| I suppose I like it as much as any other genre. I really like the Patalliro! anime, there was also the Given anime. As far as ova's come Ai no Kusabi, Fuyu no Semi, Kaze to Ki no Uta and Vassal Lord are pretty cool. There have also been multiple good movie productions as well like, Doukyuusei, Umibe no Etranger and Saezuru Tori wa Hatabakanai: the clouds gather. As far as the more lower budget ova's come they are actually quite funny most of the time. Like for example Okane ga Nai is hilarious, the anime was also called "the no money project" in the credits which I personally found really funny. Bl is often made and marketed for a predominantly female audience. I suppose the generic Uke and Seme dynamics, are quite boring at the end of the day. Although such as any stories bl is fantasy, it is often a safe way for female authors to express themselves. It is in no way really all that different from the way that harem series are a fantasy. This sort of safe space where female characters ironically aren't all that relevant, although you could chalk that down to internalized misogyny caused by the Japanese society. I suppose you could call "YAOI" an outdated term, and it always had a negative connotation in the west for some reason, used as a descriptor of sexual content by many fans and even on this website until recently, where as shounen ai would be the more light hearted content. I suppose Boys Love is a much better term in terms of describing what the genre is about. As with any other genres, bl has it's trends and quirks, like "Yaoi hands" were a big anatomical phenomenon in the 2000's. I suppose the genre isn't really all that different from any other romance stories. Fun fact: if anyone cares Yaoi is an acronym for the phrase "yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi". Use google or something if you care. The term is quite self redundant, even making fun of itself. |

| Watched it, out of them i have watched, i only liked one so far and it's thanks to how good the slice of life is. Not really what im into. I love Shoujo Ai / Slice of Life, but the BL / Slice of Life is just meeeh. I can watch it, that's all. |

| I love well written romance stories regardless of sexual orientation of the couple involved. I'm a pansexual trans woman so I tend to be able to relate to LGBT content a little more since I can understand the struggles of the characters on a personal level, so I am pretty open to yaoi and yuri content. given is a really good example of a fantastic yaoi story that I think anyone, even if tey normally don't watch tat kinda content might be able to enjoy since the relationships are very realistic, and the music aspect is very appealing to a wide demographic. It is one of my favorite anime and I would highly recommend it. It makes me sad to see some people are not able to overcome the hurdle of the fact it is a same sex relationship since they are missing out on a well written story. |

| Completely niche with lack of iconic characters that no one will ever bother remembering. Yaoi is just romantic comedy or drama, but with gay guys. If yaoi manga found its way in Jamaica, the Middle East or in former British Empire colonies, then they will end up getting burned. |
