 The Jump Festa Super stage announced on Saturday that the third Shokugeki no Souma (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) anime season will air in split cours. Subtitled Tootsuki Ressha-hen, the second half will premiere in Spring 2018.The series is based on the manga by Yuuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki that has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump since November 2012. It has previously received two seasons and several OVA episodes. The third season began airing in October, and is scheduled to conclude in December. | Awesome news was really sad when i heard that the episode count changed to 1cour for 3rd season, but i guess this was the reason cuz they made it split cour. Which i personnaly dont think its a bad thing as this will allow them to keep the anime at high quality instead of rushing it all specialy when i heard how hard it is to maintain i high quality for 24episodes straight. |

| Wasn't expecting the current season to end so soon but at least a continuation has already been confirmed. Lol at everyone who seems amazed or surprised that this is getting more seasons. This is the norm for WSJ manga, as long as the anime helps out the manga they're going to make more. |
