 The official Twitter account for the currently airing Made in Abyss TV anime has announced on Friday that the thirteenth and final episode will be receiving a one-hour broadcast on September 29. A pre-screening event for the final episode will also be held on September 24 for a talk show with the main cast members, director, and producer attending.Made in Abyss began its serialization in Web Comic Gamma magazine in October 2012. A total of six volumes have been published by Takeshobo, with the latest volume released on July 29. The TV series will be distributed in two Blu-ray and DVD volumes, with the first volume containing the first seven episodes releasing on October 25, and the second volume bundling the last six episodes releasing on December 22. | I'm scared this means we aren't getting a season 2. I know the manga doesn't have much out, but I also don't know how much they're adapting. Either way, I may have to read the entire manga from the start once the show ends. |

Maybe we can see something in the future depending on how successful in Japan the anime turns out to be. But I bet this won't go any further regardless of sales or whatever goals investors had. |
