OGURA YUI !!!!
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Kokona finally appears and my heart's melting.

What an odd way to temporarily repair a shoe

Yup ^^

Kokona does seem like an airhead XD but she's really cute~ I was surprised to hear Yunoha's (from Aquarion Evol) voice come out of her mouth lol. The way they fixed Kokona's shoe problem was pretty creative. I honestly wouldn't have thought of that even if I was carrying those wires.

Mori-gril (forest girl) is a Japanese term to describe a recent tread of girls who have developed a hobby to hike and even take up a fashion sense for their hiking dress (and sometimes even take this fashion style even when they are not hiking). Many of them may be casual fans or new to the hobby, but of course some became veterans too.

One thing to learn in this episode is you will be greeted by everyone you meet on the trail and you are expected to greet everyone you meet along the trail. It is something I learned when I started hiking in Japan. In other places this also happens but only occasionally - in Japan it always happens.

Actually the same happened to my boots when I climbed Mt. Fuji. I did not have all the tools that they had but I made a makeshift cloth ribbon from a towel I had and bound the boot like they did in the anime. It was good enough for me to survive the lengthy hike down the mountain !

I guess that's some Japanese hospitality for you. I don't suppose that you would still have to greet every person on a very crowded trail like Mt. Fuji? I've seen how long and crowded the trail up the mountain can get.

I guess the lesson there is to buy a new pair of hiking boots before you go up the mountain.

Yeah, it can get truly very crowded, and of course in this case it becomes impractical to greet everyone you meet, but otherwise the greeting always happens.

One needs to take the weight carried into consideration too. I guess bringing light tools like Hinata did makes better sense.

So how long does it take to actually climb up the mountain when it's the peak season?

I was thinking more of buy a new pair of boots to wear up the trail so they won't fall apart so easily, though the tools does make sense in an emergency.

The best is to go to some hiking guides:
http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e6901.html
I stayed in a hut overnight and started to hike again at 2am to catch the sunrise.

Well, but the thing is sometimes it is hard to tell that a pair of boots are going to fall apart in your next hike.

So Aoi managed to give the key chain hanger to Hinata it was a nice moment when she gave it to her she is pretty shy,
The girl they encountered there was funny going all the way up there to see squirrels that where not even there hope she does manage to see them somewhere else tho.

What i was amazed with on the guide you linked last week on Mt Takao wasn't the mountain or the hiking routes but the facilities there on the main route there are 8 toilets and 3 resting areas.
If you go to similar mountains here in Europe your lucky if they even have one toilet there.
And that route from Mt Takao to Mt Jimba seemed very nice to me tho it's probably a good idea to start training for a route like that 18 km walk in the mountains is pretty harsh.

I would much rather buy boots that will last for the hike, and if those happen to get torn up then I'll do what Hinata did. Tie them up or use duck tape.
