| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I can't believe episode 2 is out but it is. It was a great episode. I liked a lot the resolve with the crazy previous girl and well suffice to say she was portrayed quite the MOE type but also a little cocky on the side from the looks of the spoiler The race with Keisuke at the end was just mmmmmmmmm yummy yummy exciting to say the least from the following,  All was OVER 9000 in SFX, CG and character reactions concerning the race itself. Just great. I leave it as that and might edit later. |

| How much episode there will be? I heard it will only be 6 episodes... but since we see battles in the opening that are way later in manga, it's near impossible whitout skipping anything. We even see Shinji's Trueno coupe and the NSX... If someone know, it would be nice. |

| Pretty good episode. The character designs are continuing to annoying me though. Takumi's hair frequently looked red, and Ryosuke's isn't blue any more. A little more consistency would be nice. I would also have to disagree with Yumekichi on the drama side of Initial D. I like it, and I think it definitely adds a little something extra to the show so it isn't so one dimensional. I feel the same way about sports anime; that some drama or romance helps to break up what could otherwise become just animated sports. |

| so Takumi really has a new love romance now heh, and the new love interest is a cheerful girl, the exact opposite of Takumi's seriousness, but they are both genius of their respective sports good to see the racing starts now, dang i miss those a lot |

| I love that the action has just started so early this time! It seemed to take forever in most of the other seasons. Talking about Mogi, i wonder how she would look with the new animation / updated character designs, because she looked a bit triangular before lol |

Anywho, I'm rather disappointed with this adaptation, because they cut the bits that truly adds to the excitement levels of this show, The All Important Crowd Reactions, of all the things to cut out. |

| Eh. I didn't even recognize Ryousuke until I realized it was his voice coming out of the character... He become some lame bishounen... :( Characters still too sharp/out of place for me, but I realize the scenery got really nice. That ghost effect when Keisuke suddenly sped up was wicked! |

| Really glad they added the romance factor in this season again! I really hope they'll focus on it a bit more than pure the races! That said, the race sure was intense as hell, looking forward to see how it will end! |

| I guess Takumi likes them rough, huh. To fall in love after a slap, cool I guess, but it's a pity that Mogi may truly become a thing from the past now. At least this new girl seems nice. And the races started already, their enemies are more calculating than ever, but Fumihiro asking Ryousuke about the advice he gives before the races is getting old. Well, it seems that Keisuke had an easy win. |

| Hah, that auras looked cool, but I was wondering if it's Initial D or Hokuto no Ken? ;D CGI was very well done. Detailed enough, effective and you could easily see what was happening on the track. What was kinda maybe not bad, but kinda confusing, was how Ryousuke's look changed because of the new art style. If not the voice and other characters calling him by his name, I wouldn't be able to say that this character was actually Ryousuke, lol. I dunno why some people in thos thread were so harsh about Takumi falling in love in somebody. Mogi kinda cheated on him and was not completely fair and honest with him. Besides, their paths parted. Mogi went her own way to fulfil her dreams, and Takumi chose his own path. Both of them have right to meet new people. While I'm neutral about Mika, I hope Takumi won't be less concentrated or something. |

| Man what an episode. The animation quality has definitely imrproved compared to previous seasons. Our boi finally fell in love lol and I'm glad it's not one sided, hoping to see some more developments. Races feel strong and fast right from the start of the season, enjoyed the race a lot. Keisuke has definitely improved a lot from before. It was a clean easy win for him. |

| So Mika is going to be a contender for Mogi can't say I disagree she's hopefully a match for Takumi Another street battle begins with the EVO 9 I guess don't know much I just know that its an EVO excited to see Takumi racing again. |
