yes popularity may have increased by then at that time. I dont remember single chinese names except for xin, even for me it was difficult so i ignored chinese names and only listened to japanese names which was better that chinese. broo Ouki is my favourite character after shin, man i cried at his death it was sad. Cgi gets better from season 2, even I thought to read manga for first 2 seasons and watch anime from 3rd but wanted to get used to osts and voice acting, and season 3 is by far the best, thankgod they didn’t use s1 cgi for the best arc. But the arcs of season 1 are real good though

Yeah I get where you're coming from, honestly seasons 1-5 + the final are on a league of their own. And yeah there were definitely some elements of SS that irked me a little, like the humor sometimes and I didn't really see the need for a timeskip so late in the story tho I do find it funny how they reference Sabaody every time a timeskip is brought up. Dang the skypiea slander lmao, I actually really like that arc aside from some of the stuff with the priests, Fishman Island was the arc that really lost me personally.

Clone Wars has really stuck with me, and I attribute it to helping me become as big a fan of the animated medium as I am now which is partly why I specifically included it in my favorites. What I liked most about it was that you got to see lots of character development, stories, worldbuilding and lore that you couldn't get to see in the movies, plus it's suprisingly mature at times for a "kids" show. There's definitely a hit or miss element to it since it's an anthology plus the animation in seasons 1-2 is pretty ass, but overall I had a great time with it. You don't really *need* to watch it by any means since it's more of supplement to the main series than an absolute requirement, but I would definitely recommend it.
