I'm not so sure about Laughing Man's intentions now. He was so polite when he was with Kusanagi.

So the laughing man plans to set off on a mission which could endanger his life, although what has he entrusted Kusanagi with?

Man, so much s*** kept happening to Section 9 in this episode. Good thing Batou knew something was up and was able to help the chief. And the laughing man yet again helps them out.

I LOVED the look the Major gave the "doctor" before giving her a nice spin-kick to the face!

It seems that the Major and Arimaki were barely able to dodge some very bad situations. The Laughing man is trusting her with something, I wonder if he will fail or not.

I thought the Major had better instincts than that. Everything about that 'doctor's' mannerisms reaked of deceit.

damn can't believe the old man got tricked :P

and lol i knew that seductive woman is one of those remaining DEA members.
i also wonder why chief doesn't really spend time with his family and all.

good thing batou save the old man's ass quick and swiftly.

"The Laughing Man" again helped Section 9. i wonder what he meant to Motoko "we met 3 times already" the one time im sure is the virtual room don't know the other 2. also im not even sure if Aoi is actually "The Laughing Man" himself since he never really referred himself.

i wonder what kind of data did he give to Motoko, must be important for them to cooperate. also how the hell did he track down Major in one night??? O_____O

does this mean Major has the same hacking skills as Aoi??? since he did give some of his data from him as evidence of being able to transfer to the old body in one second.

amazing show 5 episodes left :(

She roundhouse-kicked that bitch! xD

Great last-minutes, is The Laughing Man really just pursuing justice? There must be more to his character.

Haha, that was hilarious! I can't believe the chief got tricked like that. I guess almost everyone has a weakness for their loved ones.

What a devious episode. I always knew the pharmacy company was evil!

I guess the major wasn't interested in the mature looking busty woman, especially one's that are cos-playing as a doctor, or it could be the fact she is trying to kill her. XD

That doctor has issues especially the way she behaved even from the very beginning. Glad she got that kick in the face through the glass.

This was one of those good episodes indeed. I was worried for both Major and Aramaki. At least Batou was able to save the chief just in time. The part when the OP song was playing and that spinning kick of Major was epic.

The doctor, I smelled too much of deception had a way of doing too much in the eyes and gave him to be a real doctor, typical of those movies where the most beautiful are longer have to worry! LOL Beautiful Aramaki on the wall, there is still much to discover about the lives of all the characters. Drawing not bad.

So three survivor of the Stup tried to put them to silence. If it wasn't of the Laughing Man intervention, the Major would of the past...

Daisuke was traped good. I didn't see it coming, I really though there was some kind of conspiration to discredit him by using his brother. But it's true that they knew a bit too much. Also, that city in ruin is really creepy, to know that she seem to be about only 1 km away...

Niimi tried to suicide, that's dedication.

It was a great episode. Someone on the intern or very well placed is trying to hide a huge secret. I'm really excited with the last Laughing Man move that he's about to do. I'm also hyped to know what the Major is gonna do, she must know pretty much everything about the Laughing Man history.

Episode transition but not disappointing, because the plot does not stop but continues to tell with a superb narrative evil that lurks behind the scenes and he wants to eliminate Section 9.
Drawings and animations great, great epiosdio also for the countless learned quotations and for the continued growth of the characters.

I don't think the Major's quote was appropriate. This "Laughing Man" has never claimed that he wanted to die (although he implied that he wouldn't mind when he said the Major was that way too). In fact, that he has hid himself from the public eye to this degree could be seen as a form of humility.

The thing is, "Laughing Man" is a title the public came up with, so it's not clear who it really refers to. Is it this man, or the one who extorted all of those organizations? He claims he wasn't the one who extorted the companies, but he does seem to be the one that held up that man on TV. Who were those other people?

Motoko knows everything now, so I can't help but wonder how that will affect things. I'm guessing that her hacking abilities are on par with the Catcher (what I plan on calling the "real Laughing Man" henceforth) since she knows everything about him. My logical side does wonder if the memories he gave her were falsified, but my emotional side wants to believe he's being sincere given his apparently benevolent behavior.

That kick was satisfying as hell. Bet it felt even better for the Major.

All of Section 9 is really struggling at the moment, it seems. If not for the Laughing Man they'd be in some deep shit by now. Looks like he could yet turn out to actually be a good guy.

Talk about a kick! She deserves it, and also wonder what Batou did to those two narcs members. Its interesting that the laughing man is now trying to get the Major on his side, seems as though his got something juicy in his mind! The complex episodes are getting conplexy fun now, full steam ahead on those hopefully!!

Although narc squad trap was obvious and Chief himself could bring some fellas into investigate Refugee District, Chief's modified J.D Salinger reference at the end was orgasmic. The Laughing Man appeared as a Deus Ex Machina and Mayor's Wilhelm Stekel quote from the book was another climax for me. Niimi's suicide attempting (which is not looking convincing under Borma's watch) was nothing more than dramatizing the very end of the story thus things became harder to prove and we can clunch more for the Laughing Man. However last 3 episodes were top-notch at showing individual feelings of each character. Wish to see plot twists at rest of the episodes. What a great show!

This episode was SO intense. Section 9 is now up against an enemy that almost managed to %$^& over Aramaki and the Major. However, now with the knowledge bestowed upon her by the laughing man, the whole scandal will be brought to light. And to think, it all started with a miracle drug, that can cure an incurable disease at one time.

And talk about salt on old wound, Her friend just spilled coffee RIGHT on that bitch's face, right after taking a roundhouse kick to the FACE!! OUCH!!!

Guess I'm the only one in the universe who was actually attracted to Sano (I'm a sucker for beautiful evil chicks) and was sad when she got kicked (hope she is only unconscious as that looked like it hurt.) Anymore episodes where Motoko fights against other female characters? (Only other episode i can think of was Idolator)

This is why you never ever trust doctors, especially if they want to place you in physical constraints with no one else in the room. I liked the kick she got for the trouble, at least. Very deserved.

More great plot development, even if it feels like an epilogue to the last episode. It's cool to see Aramaki screw up for once. The Laughing Man is an interesting character so far and I hope that his motives and backstory turn out to be good.
