Perhaps Reinhard should've stayed at home. After that big speech about how his family line will always be at the front of battle, he's given Julian and co. a huge chance. It's an extreme amount of bad luck on the Empire side as they probably would have had the battle won otherwise.

yes, Julian got really lucky since his fleet is so inferior in number that it would be impossible for him otherwise to have even a chance to win this battle....

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

"...our faces marked by toil, by deceptions, by success, by love; our weary eyes looking still, looking always, looking anxiously for something out of life, that while it is expected is already gone – has passed unseen, in a sigh, in a flash – together with the youth, with the strength, with the romance of illusions.” - Joseph Conrad ('Youth')

Iserlohn is so fortunate that Reinhard's sick, because otherwise he definitely would have noticed the unmanned fleet at the side and swept with the size advantage. It was also a Catch 22 moment for Wolfgang as he decided to limit communication between his fleet and Reinhard's. The combination of that and Reinhard's current state made for some interesting moments, including Mecklinger raising his voice in avoiding the truth in front of Bittenfeld.

Damn, the sickness is getting really serious at such an important moment :/
And the Iserlohn forces seem to be taking advantage of that, I wonder if it'll work out as they planned.

Only 3 episodes left, sigh.
I probably regret this post by now.

So Julian wants to rush past the crossfire of 50,000 Imperial ships to board their most precious one, somehow believing that sluggish formations will save his single shuttle. Of course it will succeed, and now that Reuenthal is gone no one can stand before the awe-wielding might of them rugged Ally folk.

Reinhard will probably die before anyone gets to him, for the sake of dramatic irony.

Once again Merkatz is the reason they are still able to fight.
Why is he on their side again?

Mecklinger was really great.
"You're the emperor's doctor not a doctor off the street, an undetermined illness will not suffice!"

Aren't there more Rossenritterz than the 10 they showed there? That doesn't seem like much for an invasion force against the Brunhilda! It's a good thing they never get caught out in large openings like a hangar, they excel in cqb.

Still waiting to see if the Terrarists will pull something before the end.

They did show Emil looking surprised as well so maybe he's not behind Reinhard's illness, but they surely have shown him bringing tea to Reinhard so many times that one can't help thinking there's some significance behind it.

I think the ending is going to feel rushed now that they decided to bring back the Iserlohn gang just a few episodes before the end of the series. So much time wasted on rebellion and terrorism that could have been used to create a careful plan to beat the empire. The plan to attack Brunnhilde immediately made me think of the beginning of the series (or was it one of the movies) when Yang Wenli got out of a tight spot by taking the flagship hostage.

Really hoping that Reinhard doesn't die . . . I mean I'm still rooting for him. Anyways They really should have put Mittenmeyer in control of all the fleets after Reinhard was incapacitated, the fact they didn't makes very little sense to me.

Also wouldn't killing the Kaiser be disastrous for them? He is well loved, and while the empire would probably crumble at a later date, The current fleet would probably move in for an all out attack, completely wiping out every last soldier from Iserlohn . . .

Really hoping Reinhardo doesn't die indeed...

One thing I have noticed lately, is that my favorite moments in this show have been the conversations between the members of the Yang Fleet and their nasty "bro" jokes, and manly conversations between Mittermayer and Reuenthal. I'm going to be missing them. :(

Rosen Rittens are now going to faceroll on Brunhild? I guess even kaiser guard can't save Reinhard then since they have been pretty much invincible in the past episodes...

Isenlohn keeps up pretty good battle eventhough they don't basically have any manpower or ships left.

So many top tier doctors can't figure out his illness...

Well at least it's not a common cold which seems to floor half of Japan in animes.

Mecklinger's voice actor doesn't suit him at all. It's like Arnold Schwarzenegger talking out of Tom Hank's body.

Shit, LoGH and death flags don't go well together. Death flags work in 90% of situations it seems, as only Mittermeyer was able to avoid it so far, at the cost of Reuental dying instead. The ending was full of them, so I guess either Julian or Schoenkopf will die. I'm guessing Schoenkopf will be more likely to die.

So sick of the Republicans surviving overwhelming firepower time and time again. They should have been killed 10x over by now, but every time this show will come up with an excuse to have them get away with it. So sad this show is nothing more than Tom & Jerry in space.

Luckily, only 3 more episodes to go. Sigh.

Oh, look, a huge convenience leading to a plan to defeat the vastly superior Empire which has no chances of succeed wihtout plot armor anyway, that's new. It only needs imperials waving aimlessly their axes and getting effortlessly chopped like screaming logs by Rosen Ritter to be just perfect.

People really seem to hate the fact that Reinhard isn't as good as Yang, Julian or Meerkatz.

Oberstein would actually do a better job if he was there. He would have taken charge of the situation rather than all the admirals that are just waiting for Reinhard to give commands.

Got a feeling Schoenkopf is going to die. I got annoyed at Julian when he said he wanted Reinhard alive. Just kill the blonde haired brat already. He should be executed like Lang.

I have a feeling the admirals will start infighting. Mecklinger and Bittenfeld are already bickering.

Power rankings
1) Julian. Now is there chance to strike!
2) Empire
3) Earth Cult
4) Rubinsky
5) Goldenbaums

MVP: I guess Julian.

Reinhard, you knew you had a slight fever but still wanted to continue the expedition. All because you didn't want to regret things. I BET YOU REGRET IT NOW!!! If you make it out of this alive, that it... Don't get me wrong, I've been rooting hard for Reinhard since halfway through this series, but goddamn his stubbornness.

I kind of agree that if Oberstein came along or if Reuenthal was alive, the fleets wouldn't be moving so sluggishly, because they'd give out orders. Mecklinger and Mittermeyer should be giving orders to fight back, but they aren't. Now everyone is either antsy (Bittenfeld) or confused (Mueller).

Once again, FPA people are winning/will win due to luck. It's really frustrating to watch. I still don't like Schenkopp, he's so bloodthirsty, wanting to kill Reinhard, when Julian said his goal is to negotiate with the Kaiser. I would love to see Julian negotiate with Reinhard, but I don't believe that will happen. The narrator already said that whatever illness Reinhard has is more deadly than anyone thought, so seems like this is the end of the road for Reinhard :( Even if they do have the opportunity to negotiate, I'm not sure Reinhard would back down.

Probably the last time we're going to see this dream team together:

It's actually sad that we didn't get to see much of Iserlohn in this season, I'm really gonna miss the Yang Fleet and their foppery and whim

As for Reinhard, there was a giant hint at the theory about Emil's poisonous tea being the cause of his illness, curious to see if that will turn true

There's a bloodbath incoming. There are only three episodes left and there are still way to many death flags in the field. At least one important character from each side might die. I would say it may be Schenkopp from the Republicans, though for the Imperials... IDK. It's likely a minor named character might die. Maybe an admiral or so. For the Reps, there are no minor named characters in risk of dying... or are there? Maybe Mashengo could get pwned.

It was impressive to see Mecklinger losing his temper. Speaking of that, I'm intrigued as to why didn't Mittermeyers, the Supreme Commander of the Imperial Fleet, assume direct command. I get that Mecklinger is now the Supreme Commissioner of the Armed Forces, but that isn't a role of such tactical importance as the SCommander is.

Reinhard will die, that's for sure. I don't think he'll die in battle, nor I think he'll die after a "50 years later" screen. It's a shame he couldn't reign for a much longer time, but I suppose the brightest stars get consumed faster.
