| Welp, when I saw Handler saying Twilight is too far to be able to help, I thought, time for Yor to come to the rescue, but now with Anya having a bomb collar around her neck, I think it's Yuri who's going to be handling this situation. A mighy mama bear Yor might be, but I'm not sure how she'd be able to solve a multiple hostage situation. With a bomb threat nonetheless. Looking forward to future chapters! Yuri is actually a pretty decent character when he's NOT interacting with the Forgers. |

| This will either end with quick takedown, or the bad guys will get JUMPED by special forces from all important families lol. Yor is not out of the picture too. The big problem is the collar on Anya's neck though. The plot is getting uncomfortably intense! |

I have childrens of my own . I understand your pain. - yor : Is their mother still alive? - kidnapper : yes . - yor : Good. There will be someone left to raise them. - kidnapper : dont move , yor , i could destroy your daughter , anya , with a simple button-pushing from my hand . - yor : what hand ? | Idk how the mangaka will make this from here, this is traumatic for little kids, he will pretend that after this arc all this kids continue living as happy funny kids ???? And making jokes in this manga ... the spy stories or dark parts of this manga could just continue as how it was, in the side ... now this involved her kid and the other kids ... i bet he wont care and the target audience either, like nothing happen after the traumatic events of this arc they will continue being funny kids ... oh boy |
| Just finished bingeing Spy x Family. Such a great story. 8/10. The premise alone is great, but the execution of the action, unknown backstory, secret idenditities, the overall character dynamic and development of this trio growing as a family. Beautiful. It was a tiny bit dull to some extent when it focused a bit on Damian with friends and lacked action around Volume 7, but after the cruise fight started, it picked up again. The sub-plot of Yuri's love for Yor is a bit worrying if it becomes a legit incest love triangle, but I don't think it will, so if it remains comedic, it's fine as being funny. Comedy-wise overall from the other gags, with Becky, Bond, the family themselves' reactions are very entertaining. Especially Anya's reactions. She's easily a favorite character. The progress is somewhat slow in many ways which I don't mind because it makes the journey and build-up so much more satisfying throughout the hints and glimpses of the trio's backstory and mindset. So far we got to see Loid's tragic past, and glimpses of Yor's childhood, but we haven't seen how she became an assassin, nor have we seen how Anya escaped or know what truly happened to her parents. These continued mysteries, the incoming proper realization that Anya is part of the plan to Damian's dad's death, Yuri being an enemy of Loid, none of three (four with Yuri, etc.) knowing their true identity yet, Loid and Yor's potential love, the fake family itself accepting and bonding as a real family. All throughout danger to Anya and others, developing her relationship with Damian, Loid or Yor getting closer to the Desmond's for the mission, and Loid/Yor working their side missions simultaneously while slowly growing more caring for each other and becoming better normal people, growing out of their dangerous activity. The affection itself from shown each character even with their confliction emotions of hiding their identity and being a fake family, especially the innocence of Anya cherishing their love is beautiful. Awesome work. Now Anya has a supposed bomb on her neck, with Loid unfortunately out of distance on a mission unknowing of this... who can save her. |
