no worries, and i'm glad you enjoyed it! so you already seen the anime a while ago? but yeah this was one of the very first shoujos for me and i expected the shoujo genre to mostly be cute and stuff, so the first part of the story mostly being cute and lighthearted switching to the darker tone in the second half really caught me off-guard lol. even tho i miss the romance from the early parts, seeing the realism of the problems faced by arima's whole family was just an amazing experience for me. iirc the ending is a little controversial but it's still a personal favorite of mine haha so good to hear that you liked it too, especially considering how unpopular it is

also question; is Yotsuba To! episodic? and is it mostly wholesome?

Yup, all good. Anyways that's great that you finished as well. I love these type of series (not many do what Chihayafuru does, at least to me), I'm interested in catching up on 3 gatsu no lion (the manga). I'll probably do so soon.

Yes, I just was wondering since I can't see your list. If you didn't I would have let you know to catch up (As a fellow Taichi fan, I could understand why some would have paused the series maybe and waited until the end to decide).


Though not a perfect series by any means, (the final arc to me was rushed) I still thought some of the most powerful scenes in the final arc revolved around Taichi, same for Shinobu, and Suo, my three favorite characters in the series.
