First words from Levi this season, whew… and he’s still out for Zeke’s blood.

Falco once again trusting someone when he shouldn’t have, feels like few things just never change. Courtesy of Armin arriving at the right time things didn’t take an ugly turn.

And yes, yes… finally Alliance in the making. On to the mission to save this world,as if we ever asked

Lol, Connie being a goof again even this deep in the season but we needed that little bit of comedy imo.

I loved the usage of the soundtrack to make the episode felt more compelling with the Rumbling going on. And about time Reiner meets Annie again since her release.

The music when Armin was about to jump is probably the first Yamamoto track that I really enjoyed, it was exactly as I imagined it.

The scene at the end with Reiner was pretty badass as well.

The shirtless Levi manifestation worked and here he is. We missed him. Also, Hange is such a great companion. I love her. Also, what did we learn today? Don't take Mikasa's scarf. LOL. We also got to see Connie's side of things. Poor Connie. And, that Face XD

Annie eating pie was so adorable to me. As all the manga readers call this, the Avengers have assembled to save the world. I'm not gonna say anything about that. Good episode IMO.

Oh boy finally some Levi and Hange interaction. And MAPPA animated Levi shirtless so yeah wish fulfilled I guess.

It must be hard to sleep due to the rumbling lol.

Wtf was that face Connie made lol. Anyway, at least he's not feeding Falco to his mom anymore.

I'm so glad they animated the pie scene lol. Looks like the Alliance is finally being formed!! Need the subs asap.

Damn, mad respect to Hange for doing al that to save Levi! And to Jean for that amazing act! It’s so cruel to end the Ep on that note, dang it…

Annie’s pie scene was darn hilarious though. Hitch’s character design aside, it was nice to see her back for a short run.

Meanwhile, miserable Reiner is a treat to watch as well. Annie’s savage as heck!

Finally Hange and Levi’s segment from the aftermath of Zeke’s explosion, I like their camping moment but sad that we don’t get see Levi with both eyes, at least disabilities doesn’t do any influence hopefully :/ The Survey Crops are taking a rest and this sudden feeling of a calm before the storm was truly something, it felt like the final battle is coming near for sure.

My minor complain in this episode is that Connie’s subplot is the most nonsensical part I couldn't understand clearly to why he's not killing his mother and after Armin appears, his heart suddenly changes towards his mom and made the whole segment really rushed, like let Armin get inside Connie's mom's mouth or something in order to expand some more exploration instead of leaving his own mom laying down like that.

Annie’s pie scene was hilarious though, definitely showing the cute side of her :3

Onyankopon and Jean moment was beautiful especially in the sunset

Wait the min wtf, what’s with the sudden "To save the world", like didn't they all kill each others own family or something and they're not even making up each others action, not something I wouldn't care to complain furthermore but as long as Isayama can execute the power of friendship then yeah sure I'll accept that.

Lmao the pie scene. Nice to see that they finally reunited with Annie in a lighthearted way after Connie almost killed a child. Now it's time to go out and save the world.

Good thing they didn't kill Onyankopon at the end of Black History Month

Armin almost jumping into the mouth of Connie’s mom and killing himself remains one of the stupidest moment in all of aot. Like legit dumb fuckery from Armin.

The storyboard was just as bad for this episode as it was in the manga. I was hoping MAPPA would clean it up but instead they leave it as is and we jump from scene to scene with no real flow.

Surprisingly i liked this episode as much i liked Episode 6, lol.

The visual is the best reason why i said so, everything looks fucking good and the background just beautiful, it's unfair that this-filler-like episode got better visual than action/important episodes but holy shit atleast i dont have to shit about i hated this chapter due to massive boredom it is on manga. But yeah, it's not a thing for me on anime version.

Alright, talk about story, i laughed so fucking hard on Connie scenes because how corny af they are lol, most of this episode feels like build-up episode in Medieval Isekai animes. Beside of that, i really love Floch speech, it's fucking hype and i really understand why Jean looks so confused and suffering with dilemma.

ONYANKOPON MADE HIS POINT, BUT THAT DOESNT MEAN THOSE NATIVIST BASTARD ISNT WRONG IN THEIR OWN SHOES EITHER.

Anyway, another 5/5 episode but it really feels different, something i never feel coming from AoT xD

An amazing adaptation of an unnecessarily hated chapter. Floch/Jean/Yelena/Onyankopon scene was a highlight for me and I enjoyed the comedy scenes quite a bit. Definitely elevated from the source. Everyone back together was wholesome.

It had many cringy moments. Connie's subplot. Armin trying to commit suicide to save Connie's mother "like what the hell?!!". Annie pie scene. For context, the last time the main characters saw Annie was when she nearly slaughtered the entire survey corps in season 1, killed many civilians in Stohess district and their first meeting after that is "Bwahahaha, Annie you baka, gobbling this pie like a cow, Hahahaha!!!"

And at the end, the most iconic alliance scene and possibly the second most cringy scene in AoT "To save the world" with the avengers posing side by side with Annie and Falco "when 2 minutes ago Connie was on the verge of killing Falco".

But I have to admit that they managed to make the "Save the world" scene less cringy than in the manga... And this episode also has extremely beautiful art too....

You ONLY make alliances with your enemies. No one forgave Annie, they joined forces.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the alliance but for some reason, Isayama made their introduction to the story maybe the most cringy plot in the entire story, when it could have been executed much better than that and give us more room in order to digest this part better....

Sounds like a Marvel quote.

Personally, I believe it was cringe and just poor dialogue because Connie and are thinking about the world as a whole. They faced oppression and they want to save the people who oppressed them.

I think something like "Let's go stop Eren." would be better because we know they want to stop Eren. But 'saving the world' seems too broad and heroic, especially for people doing it only for their families such as Connie and Annie.

PSA, for those wondering, many people find this content cringe solely because it's characters wanting to stop Chad Eren they've been dickriding. It's not cringe at all, and even if you argue it is, it is 100% done so intentionally.

Hange protecting Levi. Friends forever. Love their relationship.

Armin is so brave for recklessly jumping right into the mouth of Connie's titan mom. Or probably because he thought that Connie will save him. Anyway, that's an eye-opening moment for Connie.

True. She was eating it like a fucking hamster. Must have been really hungry, I guess.

Though, I don't really get why people act like she's all forgiven. If anything, they're just putting aside their anger for them to have a bigger goal in the moment.

MAPPA just turned one of my least favorite parts of the manga into one of my favorite parts in the anime, just by slowing it down, and giving the chapter more time to breathe. It was pretty good.

I'm glad to hear that. My observation is that many complaints about the rushed build up to the formation of an alliance in the chapter this episode adapted came from how various scenes were shuffled around, which imo would be solved next episode anyway. Because 127's opening sequence fills up the gaps in 126.

I really forgot this scene of Mikasa and Louise from the manga. Omg, it was so disgusting to recall it. I mean what the hell is this? Why is she being an asshole to the one person who once viewed her as a hero and dedicated her life to be like her? The anime even elevated this feeling of disgust by showing how Mikasa was just ignoring her and continued walking as Louise was expressing her appreciation to Mikasa as her last words.... And all Mikasa thinks is: "Give me that scarf you f**king b**ch!!!"

I don't know what this is supposed to make you feel for Mikasa except... pure disgust....

Not this again...

Mikasa doesn't owe her anything. Louise literally took her scarf and wore it without her permission. She saw herself in Louise who blindly idolised Eren hence her disgust. Did you forget her flashback in the prison when she realises that she's been ignoring Eren's savage side this entire time?

I see people not understanding Mikasa's scene with Louise. It's not that Mikasa hates Louise or anything. What happened here is Mikasa let out her anger cause she was irritated. Why was she irritated? Cause she saw herself in Louise. The way Louise is acting towards Mikasa is the same as Mikasa acting towards Eren. Mikasa is mad at Mikasa.

Not a big suprise though. Staging and shot composition have been very bland in general since MAPPA took over.

What really kills it is the fanficitonish dialogue that could only impress some cringy 14-year old.
