(My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected) announced on Tuesday that the broadcast of the series' third season will not push through due to the coronavirus outbreak. The TV anime was supposed to premiere on April 10, but the slot will be replaced with a rerun of the series' second season.In 2011, Wataru Watari and Ponkan 8 launched the light novel series and ended with a total of 14 volumes in November last year. | Definitely not the kind of news anyone would want to hear but there’s no helping it, safety of the team working behind the scenes comes first. Now, my two most anticipated tv series (Re:Zero S2 & Oregairu 3) plus my most anticipated movie (Violet Evergarden: the Movie) have all been postponed. Given how the dire the situation is, it’s hard to say when we’ll be able to see these but we’ll be waiting however long it takes. |

If anything that's the luck for me to catch up and re-watch the last season out there. @TsukuyomiREKT Kaguya felt much more funny than OreGairu. I would rather witness the hype still living, and Chika becoming enshrined as a meme goddess. |

| And here I thought I was already getting used to most things getting either postponed or cancelled already. This REALLY sucks, but I do wish for the production team to stay safe in these tough times. The sooner this piece of crap virus gets eradicated, the better for all of us. |

| I dislike this show but goddamn it's disappointing because fans were looking forward to it for so long. It's understandable that many shows are getting delayed though we all just gotta be patient. |
| The virus' ripple effects across the land strike again. I wasn't planning to watch as this isn't really my preferred type of series, but I'm just praying and hoping against hope that season 2 of the Fruits Basket reboot isn't shelved. If it was by a few weeks or even a few months (until the end of what would be this season's run and the beginning of summer), then not a big deal, but not to some far off date. The theatrical premiere of the Made in Abyss 3 film is already delayed indefinitely in the U.S. which has been the only anime-related setback for me so far. Delayed probably pending when the movie theaters eventually decide to reopen, which are also closed indefinitely, so not much to go by. |
| I hope this decision saves a lot of industry workers the pain of suffering through covid-19, and that everyone involved is safe and healthy. "Delayed" is better than "Canceled (because the majority of our staff are too sick to lift a tablet pen)", even if it hasn't been confirmed when it will release yet. I'm sure the animators care a lot about releasing the show, as they've already put a lot of hard work into it. |
