End Date: August 31st

πŸƒ Watch an anime tagged as Parody or Satire:
The first half of the 18th century was a literary epoch that featured the rapid development of the novel, an explosion in satire, the mutation of drama from political satire into melodrama and an evolution toward poetry of personal exploration. This movement came to be known as Augustan Literature.

πŸ§™ Watch an anime from the Fantasy genre:
Jonathan Swift, an essayist known for his deadpan, ironic writing style, is widely regarded as the foremost prose satirist in the English language. His masterpiece Gulliver's Travels used a fantasy setting to criticize the state of European government at the time, and also to explore whether men are inherently corrupt or whether they become corrupted.

πŸ”« Watch an anime featuring a gunslinger as a main or supporting character:
Iconic poet Alexander Pope is the second most quoted writer in the English language, after Shakespeare himself. In his career as a satirist, Pope made his share of enemies as many prominent figures felt the sting of his sharp-witted satires; so bitter were some that he at one point deemed it necessary to carry pistols on his daily dog walks.

πŸ“š Watch an anime adapted from some form of printed media (source must be Novel, Light Novel, Manga, or 4-koma Manga):
In 1755, several years before he became an omnipresent Internet meme, Samuel Johnson published A Dictionary of the English Language, which had a far-reaching effect on Modern English, established a methodology for how dictionaries should be put together, and set a paradigm for how entries should be presented.

"If you have time to think of a beautiful end, then live beautifully until the end." Sakata Gintoki

"Death is terrible for anyone. Young or old, good or evil, it's all the same. Death is impartial. There is no especially terrible death. That's why death is so fearsome. Your deeds, your age, your personality, your wealth, your beauty... They are all meaningless in the face of death." Kirishiki Sunako

πŸƒ Watch an anime tagged as Parody or Satire:
