Anime I started before I made this account and can't find start/end dates for are all listed as the day I created my MAL account
My anime rating system:
10- A perfect anime for me personally. Made me cry, I think about it daily, genuinely changed some aspect of myself, all with top tier production value. I could write (and have written) essays on these.
9-Excellent anime. A tear or two might have escaped me, great production value, but I would not call it life changing. Likely has beautiful and hard hitting human themes and are often very character-focused
8-Great entertainment. No tears, essays, or changes in myself, but you better believe I looked forward to watching each episode, loving every minute. Has one or two aspects that bump it above a 7, be it great music, a character I love, or riveting plot. Expect a lot of variety in my 8's.
7-A fun watch. Something nice to put on and lose myself in. Mildly engaging, with a few comments thrown at the characters.
6-No strong feelings towards the anime, but animation, character work, or music, etc. were decent enough not to warrant a 5.
5-Complete neutrality. Nothing was notably bad or good and I've likely forgotten almost everything about the anime itself.
4-Could have been better. Often there's a specific aspect I can point out that could have been improved to at least mediocrity that would help raise my opinion. Most of my so-called 'slog shows' fall here.
3-Awful. Multiple aspects that could have been improved, and any comments are ones of frustration, exasperation, or boredom.
2-So, so bad. We are back in essay-writing territory, but this time about how incredibly amazing it is that this was actually aired.
1-I was likely laughing the entire time due to just how trash this anime is. The type of show I would watch with friends to roast the entire time,
OR
something so shameful it should never be seen by human eyes and I would prefer not to remember it in any capacity. Never to be spoken of again.
My manga rating system is almost entirely subjective. I could try to justify them but it's better for both of us if we just leave it as is.
