Damn, the visual quality of this season really impresses me, especially some of the scenes in the second half.

Loved the creative usage of the video game aesthetics. Even Twitter is blowing lol.

My favorite arc in this series has finally been adapted and the end result is beyond my expectations!!! Reigen may act nonchalant but between him and Mob, he's actually the more lonely one out of the two... Really pity him. A 28 y/o man with no friends no gf no social life no hobby little to no interaction with his family and his only close acquaintance is a middle school kid... Man, both of them need to sit down and talk it out. Reigen doesn't understand Mob enough, and Mob is finally expressing his own opinion which is a good thing but man... Reigen needs him. Mob has people who cares about him. Who does Reigen has?

Next episode is gonna get super painful to watch. Can't wait for the reveal!

Also the animation for the eye movements in this episode is great lol

studio bones REALLY likes reigen, huh?

anyways, that was a pretty good episode overall; mob is finally starting to spend time with his peers, and i think that's gonna do something good for his character overall. it also seems that reigen's getting some character development too, which is really nice!! i can't wait to see how he'll handle the live show next week, though- going by the title of the next episode- it certainly won't be perfect.

by the way, they added minori to the ED, a great touch!

Loving the growth of Mob, he has legitimate friends now and seeing him happy is great.

Reigen told him that people still take advantage of him, he believed that he was the only person Mob could talk to and put himself on a pedestal.

Only later did he realize when Mob was gone that he is the one truly alone now and people take advantage of HIM.

I can feel it.

I can feel the strong second hand embarrassment for the next episode.

I mean, this episode is tackling the same nature of problems as the first three episodes, except whereas it was Mob's development, now we're doing Reigen's, so I don't know why you're only seeing plot progression now.

i love the growth of mob, he has friends and he's happy and it makes me so happy that he's happy.

then reigen's tongue slipped and he told mob that people still take advantage of him and that he's the only reason why he has friends in the first place, only to realize later that it's the exact opposite and his only friend is a middle schooler.

i don't know why but i'm kind of scared for the next episode lmao. i absolutely adore Reigen and his annoying ass personality and how he takes care of mob, i always flaunt to people how he's one of the reasons for Mob's good control over his psychic powers as Reigen has been there since Mob's childhood and constantly gives him advises.

BUT. A lot of people, me included, forget the fact that before Mob showed up, Reigen's life was black and white. repeating the same thing over and over everyday until Mob showed up and made his world so much brighter. people like to talk about how Reigen saved Mob's life but they rarely talk about how Mob probably saved Reigen's life more, the kid is the highlight of his life for fucks sake.

i haven't read the manga yet so i don't know what's gonna happen-- but, i sure know it's gonna be painful. Just from the simple action of him opening a notification only to receive a reminder that that fucking day was his birthday, i almost teared up seeing his expression, and the way they showed his emotions through the movement of his hands on the mouse when he was reading his mother's email, damn. that was heartbreaking.

more heartbreaking things coming up-- 28 year old man realizes he doesn't have any friends except for a middle school kid he just had a fight with. Reigen was totally in the wrong for that by the way that was one hell of a "digging his own grave" moment.

i loved the animation as always, and it's nice to see Mob finally hanging out with his friends and be all sociable, aaahh i feel like a shitstorm of feels are gonna slap me in the face on the next episode.

Kurata got 'sore yori'ed. haha. I love her offended face.

I thought Reigen had been possessed by an evil spirit. Was I wrong? An insect did die after the vomit scene.

Ritsu and Hanazawa don't have a lot of scenes this season. That's kind of sad.

The old psychic is holding a grudge against Reigen. lol. That is too immature!!

Some drama going on between Reigen and Mob in this episode. Mob becomes more mature. Dimple is so funny as always xD. Reigen really needs this change in his attitude though. Can feel some deepness in this episode when Reigen visited his old friends. Waiting for next ep to see the rivalry between reigen and the old bald-headed psychic guy. The old guy is holding grudges for getting a knee strike from Reigen. It won't easy for Reigen this time, I hope Mob will show up.

Well of course, but I'd like to differentiate character development from direct story progression personally

After the first ep I was hoping Mob revealing his powers to the girl would turn out to be a major plot point but they didn't really do much with that afterwards unfortunately

Oh man, this might be the best episode of Mob Psycho in terms of writing. And I'm glad the arc is about Reigen. The last episodes from the first season made me realize how complex and funny this character is, and I really enjoy they are developing him on his emotional side. Really curious how things will turn out

I really like this arc. I was expecting that some day Reigen and Mob would end up getting separated for a while. I have to admit though, Reigen is really hardworking. Lol that guy has some big grudge right here. Reigen is in danger to be exposed on TV now.

whelp for me this episode was better than the last episode which overdid the animation to stretch a episodic plot. Its interesting to see how Reigen dealing with his situation without Mob (and damn surprised he is 28!? yikes! his whole character reminds me of GTO's protagonist in a good way but never thought he would be that old lol) and also liking the Mob's natural development so far. Curious to see how this event goes.

What I really like about this arc is the fact that Mob's growth is causing Reigen to become a better person too, even if he had to go though some suffering first. It's easy to forget he was managing that business before Mob showed up, and even he forgot it for a moment, but he's more than capable to handle it alone.

This episode was a masterpiece. My favourite episode so far!

Reigen went from a 10 to a 0 and back to a 10 again.

At first I hoped Reigen was forcing this break with mob on purpose to encourage him because he was always there for him and I cant see him being any different, but they played it so well.

This episode made Reigen grow to a complete and developed character. Its beautiful.

Another well-done episode for character development. Not as hype as last week's but still great in its own right.

Interesting to see Mob attempt to form his own views/go his own way, as well as Reigen's flaws with a more in-depth look. Though it's not looking too good for Reigen right now even with his changes lol. Will he be made a fool of on live TV?

This is extremely impressive, the turn this series took is the right one, the character development, the intense new emotions Mob & Reigen are feeling, such morally interesting episode, and as a whole this season has been constantly backing up with moral basis. This might be one of my favorite animes, the second season that is.

ahhh, my heart was all fuzzy after the restaurant scene <3 how adorable it is! i'm quite enjoying his character development so far.

"all he wants is for the girl he likes to look his way, really"
"that was it at first, but now..."

"feeling shy, mob?"
"no, i was just thinking it's been a while since i've done something like this. just hanging out with people. it's so much fun..." and that's why no one will ever change my mind on why mob is a sweetheart that must be protected at all costs!

Pretty relaxing episode but with great development. Restaurant scene was superb!

This was going to happen at some point, Mob not accepting a job and leaving Reigen in the dark. Well after what Reigen said to Mob, he had it coming. Really curious to where this is going. That old guy is really wanting to have payback on Reigen.

Damn, this is taking an unexpected turn :/ I feel bad for both of them but i think Reigen as put way too much work and pressure on Mob, and he totally f*** up in the last time he talked to him.
Reigen actually did a good job by himself, but i think he went too far by going to the TV.

Glad that Mob is growing.

After reading some of the comments it appears that the next episode will be painful to watch, i already can guess where this is going...

Another fantastic episode, loved this.

Mob is finally learning to express him opinions and he's able to talk back to Reigen. He may finally be outing Reigen as a con-man. xD
He has friends who genuinely like him and he enjoys spending time with them. Ah, the joys of friendship. :)

The Reigen parts while as glorious as they were, also came across as very sad. Reigen realizes that he might be the one who's truly alone but he's a real man and he isn't gonna let anything get him down. Love how he climbed his way all the way up and became popular. xD

I was hoping that at the end of the day Mob would somehow find out that it's Reigen's birthday and wish him but damn. :(
Next episode will probably be great again.
