| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I don't trust this Akechi guy. Looks like he got invited to the festival taking place and I think Ren is aware of him. The festival gave me a tense feeling this episode honestly. It looked fun on the outside but inside, everyone was wary about Akeichi. Got a somewhat suspenseful episode this week. |

| Festival time, and most wanting detective guy. Student council girl decided to invite him to get info. Detective guy, who give no reply, came to have some tea and invited main guy to play chess. He try to want to believe in them?! He also accepted the invitation and stood on their side during the talk, saying there's something else. School festival time. lol @ detective guy got the spicy takoyaki from Russian roulette style takoyaki on the first spot. He says the group doesn't kill people, and that killing happens might be someone else. He also knows who they are. Oh, so he was able to enter that world, too. And someone tried to kill him? He also have the power? He knows why they invited him. Police lady was given 3 months to capture them. Huge price to capture them. Detective guy giving them final mission, to save police lady, who possibly have dark world and disband when successful (to avoid getting suspected). Reaching to ending soon?... |

| Good episode, this wasn't actually that fast. They covered the school stuff with the phantom thieves striking a deal with Akechi who seems to have figured them out. Akechi's plan seems solid given the gain that they would get for changing Sae's heart but it comes at the price of the disbanding of the group. The school festival montages were really nice, Futaba in that VR experience made me laugh. Ren's "I'll unmask you" scene was absolutely priceless, pure gold. XDDD Speaking of Ren, he knows what's up. ;) There's a Velvet Room scene post credit, just a heads up. |

| Using Akechi for intel is a bold move for sure. The dodge scene was pretty cool. The culture festival sure looked like fun. Akechi's answers during his event sure was interesting and tense for the team. The twin revelations as well as the deal was quite surprising. But it was sad seeing the team be treated as criminals by the law though. So their next step is taking Sae's palace and force her back to her senses and gain her as an ally. They're cutting it a bit fine with the ending though. |

| That might be a big trap set by Akechi. Don't trust him one bit :( I laughed when Ryuuji slapped Ren's head for mistaking a student wearing a creepy mask from a shadow in a palace XD Funny! I am still unsure how many episodes lasts but now I know it will be 27 for now. I can't wait to see how far this investigation goes. |

| The pacing for this episode felt slow, but it was perfect for this type of episode that we got. It's all about the build-up to the next palace and the Phantom Thieves have now got Akechi on their side, although on the condition that they do succeed, they will have to disband the group. Still, there was some nice little funny moments though. First was Ren dodging that annoying teacher's chalk like it was nothing (I didn't level up enough of one of my stats for that to happen in time when I played the game D=), then Ren jokingly tried to "unmask" the person in the ghost costume that required Ryuji to whack him on the head. XD And, of course, Akechi eating the spicy takoyaki was pretty amusing, too. =) Anyway, MBS has the show listed to be 29 episodes, although I still think the total needs to be a few episodes more than that, in order to adapt the rest of the game's content without an unneeded rush of pace. |

| I thought it will be 24 episodes I wouldn't have started if I knew that from the beginning it got really annoying that the plot is only finding one person and it didn't move a bit from where we began, contrary I'm kinda glad that there are more episodes if they ended on 24 it would have been a disaster and seems like in Japan its quite a big hit. |
At least Joker ripping off mask was a nice fanservice. Even though it was out of the blue. |

This would probably stop the story at or near the point of the scene at the very start with an OVA(s) or film finishing the story. Or might even just leave it and say now go play the game! In the post credit scene one of the twins says "You're about to reach the end of your rehabilitation" and Igor says "What kind of conclusion awaits you in the end?" The 27 in the pre-credit bit might just be there for aesthetic reasons. |

| Except for the terrible animation and fast pace, I'm enjoying this adaptation. This episode is quite good, I felt the tension just like in the game. |

| Akechi feels suspicious with how until now has mainly been shown following the main group, the way he got his Persona and now makes a deal with the group. Careless mistake the group made with going to the metaverse and getting caught on video there. |
