DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- "So in this episode, we see Pingu getting curious while passing a restaurant, and decides to apply for a waiter job there. Doesn't seem too good at his job? Of course, its a restaurant so he wants food while working. Who doesn't? The Chef decides to show his skills. Pingu wants to try some of the food but the chef tells him to get back to work. How rude! The chef gets compliments while working, so Pingu, wanting praise, imagines becoming a chef. While daydreaming, the sink became overflowed with bubbles! Oh no! He slips, and drops pepper in the soup! He decides to fix the soup. The Chef gets angry, tries it, and its delicious. Pingus dream comes true. He gets praise for cooking. He becomes poster boy of the restaurant. Turns out it was all just a fluke, he can't cook for shit. Noot Noot Motherfucker. 10/10 Best Episode of the Week." -Sodra |
| Was it just me or did the chef sound French? If so that was a nice touch. The rest of the penguinese sounds like garbled Japanese (or maybe I actually should've waited for subtitles. | I'm very impressed by the quality of the CG made to look like claymation. It felt really natural, I'm looking forward to more eps. Did the flippers slapping the floor seem too loud? That meaty slap sound just felt so...robust. |

I'll definitely check out more if they get easier to find. If it becomes too much of a hassle it shouldn't be too hard to find some of the old claymation show on YouTube. There should be enough there to satisfy if it becomes too much of a hassle to keep up with this season. |

| They didn't mess up the classic Pingu formula in any way. My fears of a narrator or forced educational crap were proven false. I love Pingu for how universal it is and how its characters communicate through body language and expressions rather than spoken dialogue; it must be a challenge to any writer/director to tell a story in this matter, but when it's successful, it's something that's universally appealing. 10/10 |

| I'm actually going to watch this so I can give it a legit score. The first episode was very enjoyable. I'm glad that the MC is not a pussy and is not afraid to take matters into his own hands. He has his ambitions and he's willing to act to realize them. It's also a good thing that episodes are only 7 minutes long so that they don't overstay their welcome. Looking forward to the next ep. |

| I still can't believe this is an anime. AN ANIME. AN ANIME!!!!! This was literally my favourite show for like 2 years when I was younger. I guess you could say, I learnt a new language called "NOOT"!! The translator be like "Easiest money I've ever made"... but seriously, I quite enjoyed it because of nostalgia!! |
