TV Anime 'Fukigen na Mononokean' Announces Cast and Staff for Summer 2016

Production staff and lead voice cast members have been announced for the upcoming TV anime Fukigen na Mononokean. The adaptation of the supernatural comedy manga by Kiri Wazawa will air in Summer 2016.

The series follows Hanae Ashiya, a high-schooler who is suddenly able to see youkai. After finding one attached to him, Ashiya meets Haruitsuki Abeno, a classmate who owns the tea room Mononokean and guides youkai back into the spirit realm.

I like Yuki Kaji but the rest of this seems pretty meh.

No surprise at the voice cast. Especially Maeno; he was expected to voice in this anime.

Pierrot Plus is better than Pierrot, but the director of Isuca, oh god.
At least we get Kaji Yuki

Solid picks so far, but I have to admit didn't picture Abeno with such a heavy voice... but but but Maeno san is talented so should be fine!

I'm kind of fed up with Kaji's voice now, but at least there's Maeno whose voice I really like.
Everytime a new anime's cast is annouced, there's a 90% possibility that either Kaji or Kamiya are in it. I liked their voice, but I'm getting annoyed now.

Not bad for the cast but eh, I really hope they keep this faithful to what it is.

Wow the blonde guy's design is generic as fuck.
Low expectations for this one.

Kaji Yuuki is sort of a surprise, at least he wasn't one of the seiyuu I mentioned, but it's not a bad surprise <3 so glad it wasn't Matsuoka And yeah, Maenu, perfect choice! I wanted it to be him but placed my bet on Hosoyan :P

Pierrot and Pierret plus are the same only that Pierrot to become better animes. Pierrot is not a bad study, is a medium like madhouse study.

In case you do not know Pierrot has good adaptation. And all studies have animes that were the original ending. If you worry about some study, worry Bones is almost never makes a good adaptation.

Yuki Kaiji? Again? Boring.

So is anyone even keeping count how many anime Kaji's doing this season? XD
I might watch for Maenu though :3

Aoharu x Kikanjuu had Maenu on the blondie as well and this one had a really similar looking character :P

Am I the only one not thrilled by the cast? In fact casting Kaji Yuuki as a genki character kinda ruins it for me...I prefer him in other roles. Plus Ashiya in my mind sounded less high-pitched
