OPM taking the top spot (as well as 4 and 6). I'm pleased.
I'm no special story or anything. I'm just a manga that wants to be read, like you could find anywhere. But, if, for argument's sake, you were to adapt me into an anime series, it would certainly be....a tragedy.

Naruto vol. 72 finally fell off the list after 6 weeks. I expected more tbh but eh, the competition with all the OPM and TG volumes is no joke. One Piece stays on the list for two weeks now, despite not being there the week it was released, ha. JJBA and MHA now made it to three weeks. Black Bullet saved the list from having only Viz titles like last week.

These are now making 60% of the list, holy crap. Also #1 (just like last week with TG) is an old volume lel. Vol. 2 of TG is also back somehow. TG vol. 1 and OPM vol. 1 have been on the list since their respective releases (23 weeks for TG, 12 for OPM). It's rather funny how the OPM and TG volumes exactly alternate with each other, the difference in sales between each of them is probably small.

Woooohoooo!

One Punch Man still going strong. I hope that they think that, besides the manga being awesome in its own right, the show is keeping numbers healthy and decide to make a season 2 someday. I know it's slim with madhouse, but I love this series. Even if it doesn't encourage a second season, it might encourage faster updates with the manga. I need my fill!

*2. Tokyo Ghoul Vol.1
*5. Tokyo Ghoul Vol.3
*8. Tokyo Ghoul Vol.2

And it's three again.

Anyways it makes since why volume 2 ranks lower since it costs much more compared to the others volumes.

I was about to be happy about OPM's success then I remembered how atrocious the sales figures are. Wouldn't it be more interesting to have France's numbers instead?
5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

And 9/10 are VIZ manga. Two series taking up 6 slots, I dread to see what it'll be like in a few months. Seriously, these NY Times lists are just boring now...

OPM and TG are practically the new Nardo and Bleach in the US in terms of popularity.

With BNHA gaining mainstream popularity next year, we get our new Big 3.

In just a little over two weeks…

http://www.amazon.ca/KIZUMONOGATARI-Wound-Tale-NISIOISIN/dp/1941220975/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1448743543&sr=1-1&keywords=kizumonogatari

This might destroy the rankings.

Who knows though, monogatari may not prove to be as popular outside of Japan

Not with volume 4 of Tokyo ghoul and volume 17 of Attack on Titan releasing on the same day.

Naruto and Bleach used to sell over 100k and 70k respectively during the boom right?

Was One Piece ever near that range in the states?

You're a bit off with Bleach figures, but OP was pretty far behind those two during the boom
2005
Naruto 61k
Bleach 23k
OP 17k

2006
Naruto 101k
Bleach 40k
OP 25k

2007
Naruto 80k
Bleach 50k
OP 13k

2008
Naruto 103k
Bleach 35k
OP 9k

2009
Naruto 61k
Bleach 22k
OP 7k

These days OP and Bleach are both selling around 6k and Naruto around 20k which is what OPM and TG may be selling

No, One-Punch Man will begin serialisation next year in France (January 2016). There is absolutely no chance that it misses the Top 15 with all the anticaption it has over here.

OPM was surely the next big thing that impact internationally. Im guessing the last one could be Tokyo Ghoul or AOT. (Maybe even AssClass, NGNL)
