It felt really classic. I liked it, even when I haven't seen anything related to Ultraman.

(Wasn't this the last episode? Hmm, I guess not)

Story-wise, that was a very simple episode. Jackal might've had the upper-hand for a period of time, but Ultraman was bound to prevail.

Retro for the sake of being retro... this didn't do anything for me. But then, I'm not a tokusatsu fan so it isn't a surprise that I feel this way.

I also thought that it would be 30 episodes, so I checked the anime expo site and there are apparently still 5 episodes left (in this season).

Anyway didn't really care about this one, but then again I've never really cared about Ultraman.

I'm not into tokusatsu, but this episode was still enjoyable and had a nice animation. The retro ED was nice too.

The story didn't make a whit of sense for someone unfamiliar with Ultraman. The animation was stupendous, though.

Two tokusatsu animations have come out of this project and it makes me so happy. This was really great. I wish they'd try another Ultraman anime sometime in the future.

With new ultramen being released every year, this is bound to happen in the future. But what.. ultraman in a robot suit lol.

I guess someone working on this project likes Ultraman.

It was kind of corny, but it grabbed my attention.

I liked how they used the original sound effects and altered the voice quality, it was very charming.

I liked the way is mimicked the tokusatsu style. Almost makes me wanna watch an Ultraman series.

Unfortunately I don't get various references but the classic feel was very welcome. Loved the soundtrack.

Not a fan of Japanese mecha Superman, so definitely one of the weakest shorts for me.

This was really mostly style over substance, but the style was pretty cool.

Honestly, I really miss this style of soundtrack, as well. Maybe it'll make a comeback eventually.

Well, that was one hell of a tribute. Nice seeing a story from the 60s adapted to modern-day standards, if just to see how it stands nowadays.

For those who don't know, Hideaki Anno practically made his debut with Ultraman when he was 23. The end credits uses the theme song.

Ultraman.
Ultraman got focked up.
They won in the end.

That was pretty cheesy but I managed to get a chuckle out of some really random parts though.

Andro Melos is pretty obscure, so I found it weird that he was the protagonist while Leo and 80 are nowhere to be found.
