| Just wanted to add since I'm marathoning five or six episodes and watched this immediately after episode 8 that the sequence before the OP was one of the best bits of directing I've seen all year. They took the exact same opening sequence as they had in episode 8 except instead of Takeo appearing to cheer up Suna by clowning around, Suna just sat by himself on the swings as the sun set lower and lower on the horizon. Then they just kept the point of view on Suna's face for a long time with no dialogue before the OP cut in. This was a totally awesome way, not only to catch the emotions that Suna was feeling, but also to show just how important the relationship with Takeo is to him. Brilliant piece of story-telling there...well worth an award of some kind. |

| Takeo with Rinko at the bowling alley was gold It was funny to see him in action as Makoto descibed him Super sweet again along with Takeo going to the hospital to support Makoto eventually I feel bad for the shaken up doctor by Takeo and then Sunakawa ladies resulting in ceonsored puke xD |
| What I like about the series is that almost all the characters are likable. The date was really cute but Takeo can't just stop think about Suna. Yamato is really nice to let him go. Akkk Suna cried huhu |

| I loved seeing Takeo working at a macho cafe!!! it was even better when all those dudes were admiring him lolol it was good to see suna go through some struggles in this episode to give his character more growth. i adore takeo and suna's friendship a lot and its nice to see all three of them getting along~ |

| I completely agree with rodac on the pre-opening sequence. Takeo and Yamato's date was cute, but yet again Suna was the highlight. I think less is more when it comes to emotive scenes like this. The faint welling of a tear in Suna's eyes that led into quivering and eventually a spillover... It was all portrayed very well. I found my own eyes growing a bit moist. The humor was good too. The idea of a female Takeo nearly had me laughing to tears. The ending was quite heartwarming as well. I didn't go into this series expecting to enjoy this friendship so much. |

| A wonderful episode! Really great to hear that Suna's dad made it and that in the end Yamato's birthday was still very lovely! She's such a great girl :3 Really lovely episode in general, let's see what's next. |

| All the characters and relationships were on point this episode. It's easy to criticize the abundant cliches, but they are done so well and on a loving manner, so easy to get caught up in each episode and just enjoy the kindness. |
| So many things happened during this episode taking it from the part-time job to the surgery and not forget when Takeo run to the hospital and the nurse thought Takeo gonna be a father it was hilarious, and when he made the doctor puke damn, I'm so glad that Suna's father was okay my father had heart surgery twice and that made me cry a little bit, after all, it was a wonderful episode. |
| So far, this is just too perfect love story it's not believable. In reality, not all people are flawless and things won't go your way every time. But I get it if it's the intent of this show; being cute, fluffy and heart-warming. Think this is the show I need when I'm tired watching drama and depression stuff. Still can't get used to Yamato's VA thou. Her squealing voice annoys the shit out of me. |

| I think if there is one problem I have with Yamato is that she is too perfect, she needs some faults. Another complaint I have his how Makoto seems to be needed for this relationship to work. He's the one doing all the work for Takeo's relationship and if I were Yamato I would find it slightly annoying that Takeo struggles to take notice in things and seemingly can't come up with some ideas by himself. This episode felt well balanced as I enjoyed the sweetness of Takeo and Yamato's date and the sadness and relief from Makotos dad's surgery. The scenes of Ai and their mother attacking the doctor and Yamato and Takeo talking about finding Makoto a girlfriend were absolutely hilarious. |

| Birthdaaay tiiime! xD Oh my, this anime doesn't stop with being so cute! Interactions between Takeo and Yamato are priceless. Takeo and Suna organised an excellent schedule with lots of attractions Takeo could've told Yamato about Suna's father's surgery in more sophisticated way than just saying it out loud and give her the tickets. Yamato was very understanding, but she must've been sad as hell anyway. And she indeed cried. :S That crying sound that appeared after that scene was depressing, especially when we saw those two symbols "Life" and "Death". I hoped they didn't mean what I thought they would mean. And they didn't, fortunatelly! :) Poor Sunokawa for having to go through it almost all alone. Good that he has a friend like Takeo. Yamato arrived as well and told Takeo that it was her the best birthday ever despite that Takeo had to leave. That spinning and vomiting doctor propably will never forget this particular day in work. ;D |
| The doctor throwing up twice made me lose my shit, such hilarious scene xD Man, this episode was so good. The first half featuring the birthday date was really cute but the second one with the more emotional approach was easily my favorite part. I especially really liked how they portrayed Suna's difficulty to express himself, a truly heartfelt moment without a doubt. |
