| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well, this episode focused a lot of Kaede. Up to this point, she hasn't been featured too much so it was interesting to see that from the episode. Cute to see her casual side of side with others and that shopping trip looked fun. |

| Hikasa-san's character cleaning up, and thinking about a friend, Yuuka, who is voiced by Yui-chan! It's when she was junior high school and she extremely cared for her safety. Shopping after the fight, and Yuuka realized how expensive yet protective is mountain climbing wear. There's a jacket that she bought with Yuuka that she cannot throw away. At the same time she invited her own friend, the main girl messaged her about the upcoming mountain. |

| I, like everyone else thought that Kaede and Yukka had fallen away through the years. But its nice to see them get together again. Especially since she's going to be one of our new main characters. Judging by the poster for this season! Kaede has always been my least favorite, but this was a sweet episode. It was also pretty informative as well! |
| Ah, friendship. It doesn't matter how long you've been apart, when you hang out time just resumes again. Good episode. I'm really glad they gave Kaede this sort of development. |

| This was actually pretty relaxing episode and it was nice to see it's solely dedicated to Kaede again. But what's with this ominous feeling, was I the only one who thought Yuuka's being dead when Kaede was treasuring that raincoat so much? (not to mention those animation slides to the sky, train crossing red lights and seeing Yuuka's picture between the clouds - hell, I bet they intended to make us think this way). I the end this overused trope wasn't used but I still can't make up my mind about if it was for good or wrong. In the end such horrendous experience in the past would surely add a lot to her character but it would possibly derail main direction of this show. So maybe it's for a best as it is. I wonder - will Yuuka go with hiking sometimes? |

She didn't really have much character development before this episode. |

| They made the whole episode so weird with the things Kaede said and Yuuka's face appearing in the sky like that, like Yuuka had died or something :S She appeared in one of the specials before, so I was really confused :'D Anyway, I now hope to see a Kokona episode as well sometime. |

| Well, I'm kinda glad that I wasn't the only one who thought Yuuka had died or something :S But yeah, I think the direction of the episode was weird. It wasn't really clear about the situation between Kaede, Yuuka and that raincoat... not to mention, the idea of showing Yuuka's face in the sky. Really odd to be honest. But that aside, it was a good episode focused on Kaede. Some development for her character was also nedded. However, I think Yuuka was overreacting way to much at the beginning I mean, you could talk with Kaede about your concern without yelling and leaving the classroom but well. |
| Please tell me I’m not the only one who thought that Yuuka was dead. I mean, the scene with her appearing in the clouds, Kaede saying that she miss her. It all made it feel that way. I’m glad that she’s alive, though. Edit: Ok, from the messages above I can tell that others also felt that way. I’m relieved ^^ |

| I think Kaede's finally losing it. She used to go on mountain hikes to deal with the pain of losing her best friend. She'd see Yuuka's spirit in the classroom the next day. Now she's actually meeting Yuuka in the city. |

| Who is Yuuka?.. Ah, it's that girl with D cup.. If I remember correctly.. ;D I mean, I have no other info about her for now.. ;P Having some person to care about you is important for Kaede, hm.. Interesting.. |
| First episode I didn't like. Yes we need more character development for the others but what is this? Random girl that acts like a jealous girlfriend to Kaede when she gets hurt mountainclimbing... And why do they make it seem like she died, that's not funny. |

This might exemplify what it means to knock at someone's heart and not be invited in. It's painful! Happily, Kaede opened her heart in the end. |

| Episode with only best girl Kaede. Also, seems like the episode was handled by the person who later goes onto becoming the producer for studio Bind anime like MT and Onimai. |
