| Will definitely give it a try. If only because we've rarely seen decent cyberpunk anime in recent years (Psycho Pass immediately came into mind). My biggest worry though. How's this show even going to fare? Because anime that try to be serious, grounded, and generally dark/violent tend to be more hit or miss when it comes to finding their target audience. |

That was my first thought as well, but honestly Mardock Scramble wasn't too bad... you know aside from that really long and kinda arbitrary gambling segment. As for Arise... well it's better than nothing I guess, but it simply doesn't match up to the series and definitely doesn't come close to the first movie... Psycho-pass was just crap through and though, no redemption for that show, no idea how it got a 2nd season. Ninjas and cyberpunk though sounds like a damn good time. Even if its shit in terms of story and chars it will probly atleast have some cool action scenes. |
