| Top 4 from my perspective so far: (1) Mushishi S2 - The Mushishi anime is a beautiful work of art and I'm expecting the same from the second season. That is all I have to say. (2) Knights of Sidonia - One of my faviorite manga by Tsutomu Nihei, this is going to be a great one cour sci-fi anime. This anime's setting is brilliant and I'm sure Polygon Pictures will bring it to life through spectacular animation as they are an emmy award winning Japanese studio who have worked on award winning US animated shows like Tron Uprising, Transformers Prime and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. (3) Space Dandy - I immediately wanted to watch this when I saw that anime genius Watanabe Shinichiro was directing it. For me this anime is brilliant it has loveable, amusing characters, funny episodes and spectacular animation. (4) Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei - I think it has potential to be quite good. The light novel is good and the manga adaptation is excellent as well. It has a good story, unique world and a nice cast of characters. Mahouka's central themes are magic, politics, war and discrimination So in the end what do you guys think are going to be the best anime of 2014 and why do you think they will stand out from the rest? Do not just list an anime that you think will be the best, follow what I did in above with my anime and provide an explanation so we can get your perspective on the best of the 2014 anime lineup. |

| Fate/Stay Night: Ufotable FTW Mushishi season 2: Has potential to be better than the 1st season ( the 2nd part of the manga has slightly better stories imo ) Both of these look the strongest contenders. But, Kizumonogatari is also a good one, might be the dark horse. And Madhouse, why are you wasting time in adapting Mahouka blah blah? Adapt Blame now! Its tailor made for you =/ |

| Looking forward to that Stay Night remake, but I doubt it'll be the best of 2014 considering Shiro is still going to be in it. Zvezda probably would've been one, but the last few episodes have been severely underwhelming unfortunately. Then there's SAO II. That's going to be hilarious. JoJo as well, but for completely different reasons. |
