| GENRES I DON'T WATCH Yaoi and Shounen-ai because I ain't gay, so it doesn't appeal to me. Hentai because I prefer real women. Dementia because I don't have nearly enough drugs to enjoy that shit. GENRES I RARELY WATCH Horror because I don't find fear entertaining plus jump scares (which is 90% of what horror is anymore) are more annoying than anything. Kodomomuke (you know.. for Kids) because most of the time it doesn't appeal to my adult sensibilities. Cars because there are only so many ways you can do 'Vrrrooom! Car goes fast' before it gets dull. Josei because more often than not I don't find the premise all that interesting. I watch all other genres with at least some regularity, some obviously more than others. Those I listed above are the only ones I've watched less than 10 anime of each. The one exception is horror, of which I've watch 44. I don't typically go out of my way to watch horror anime though. |

| Obviously I always judge each entry from the poster and synopsis regardless of genre, but there are several genres that 99% of the time result in guaranteed junk. Sports is the big one - virtually every single one is "[Male character] decides to join his school's [Sports] club, and then they have to try and win the [Competition]." It's just the opposite of interesting. Shounen is also up there, for basically the same reason - "[Male character] has to fight [Enemies] using [Power], but then later fights [Big enemy] with [Transformation or something]." When it sticks so close to the cliches and tropes, it's barely even a show anymore. Drama/Romance I also usually pass on. Less so than the above, but still more often than not. Mainly because it's just dull to watch characters being gracelessly pushed into increasingly contrived, increasingly tiresome situations. Isekai, and I don't think anyone's going to be wondering why, it's Isekai, everyone knows what's wrong with that. Dementia, also, because 9 times out of 10 it just means "random meaningless bullshit that only made sense in the creator's head because they brought plenty of souvenirs from Amsterdam." |

| I avoid those ecchi shows with nipples because people in my house always comes in my room at the right time they show the nipples, and they always suspect me for watching hentai. Man thats so annoying |
| The Magical Girl sub genre mostly cause 90% of them were made for young kids anyways. I mean there are a few that I like, but I tend to avoid Magical Girl shows unless its something unique like Magical Girl Raising Project,Boueibu, (That one show where girls turn into Magical Men), and Madoka Magica. I do love Sailor Moon and CardCaptor Sakura cause the characters are A++++ the stories aren't too shabby either. |

| Any form of BL; so Shounen Ai and Yaoi. Other than that there are ones I don't prioritize but I still watch, I just tend to be more picky with some. Like Yuri or Shoujo Ai need to be higher quality for their genre to keep me interested but I don't have issues with either. Shoujo and Josei would be the demographic ones that I am much more picky about, especially Shoujo. |

| School, Shoujo, and recently Isekai. Reason because most of them are too similiar and uoriginal from one another. Granted this is a problem with any kind of entertainment nowadays. Its bascically a repea of something you have seen earlier but you still want to give it credit for being unique in some of its onw way still. Problem is some series are so predicable that they don´t have anything speciel going for them. |

| I tend to avoid romance. I might watch it if the plot seems otherwise interesting, or if I'm in the mood for something romantic, but usually I'm like "eh". Especially if it's very girly romance, like romantic shoujo stuff. I usually avoid science fiction if it gets too space opera, laser gun fights, pew pew. I like science fiction but I prefer it to be subtle or at least thematically interesting. Kind of the same with fantasy. I don't like high fantasy things, but I like supernatural elements in things. |
| I am not into Yaoi because I am a dude, I am not into sports anime (not into watching them in general) and idol anime. I generally can watch or read most other things as long as I am in the mood like romcoms, fantasy, thrillers, mystery, sci-fi, action, etc as long as they are decent. |

| romance in general, especially non hentai romance anime that includes sex scenes, it makes me vomit. but if romance has interesting drama I would watch it. besides romance is isekaian fantasy, I just dont like character design, I think this too flashy and MC is has no interesting story since he already get what he want. |

| I generally avoid any music/idol, sci-fi, vampire, magic, military, adventure, and fantasy but I still watch them. It's just difficult for me to start the shows because I don't like those genres. when I say I dont like those genres I mean they aren't my favorite |
