I agree that it was trash but I still enjoyed most of it. And that's not the only trashy show that I enjoyed. I also enjoyed Dokyuu Hentai HxEros that same season and that was trash. It even had shounen elements but there was something about it that I liked and kept me hooked. I will be watching its OVA when I can find it. Masou Gakuen HxH is similar to HxEros and that one was trash that I enjoyed (though I was disappointed that they cut Sylvia's scene). Before the light novel site I used was shut down I was even reading its novels. It sounds like this mother's basement person is what they call an anituber and I don't watch those nor do I want to. My tastes may be questionable at times but it can also align with yours at times, with an example being Ghost in the Shell.

This really all comes down to I can watch what I want to watch and if I don't want to watch a certain genre I don't have to. Why should I have to watch shounen shows? Why should I be tied to certain genres and never branch out if something sounds interesting? I don't have time to try every show and if I'm going to skip a show it's going to be one with a genre I usually don't like if that show is tagged as that genre and no other ones I'm interested in. It doesn't matter what I watched in the past because tastes change over time. And why should I have dropped Peter Grill? It's tagged as ecchi and harem and I usually like those genres.

Looks, yes but moves no. I won't watch something if I hate the art style. An American example of this is South Park. It has terrible art style. As for animation, most of the movement I see in anime looks the same to me. The only ones I've seen with noticeably bad movement are shows from before the 2000s when they weren't aided by computers as much.

According to this site, of those three only Keiijo is considered a shounen. I watched Keiijo because it was started in my college's anime club and it's an ecchi. And I really didn't like the sport aspect of that show. One Punch Man is a parody of shounen and sort or makes fun of them. If there are overlapping genres that I like, I am more willing to give it a try. That's why I tried Dr. Stone. I thought it had a cool concept but they ultimately ruined it in my opinion. I don't care that much about animation or voice acting.

If I don't like a large amount of shows from one genre then most likely I won't like any new shows within it so it would be a waste of time to keep trying shows from that genre. I also don't just judge shows by their genre. I also judge them by their synopsis. If the synopsis doesn't sound interesting I won't watch it even if it's a genre I like. I can't realistically give every show a chance so I have to judge shows by something.

Dr. Stone is in my watched list. I just checked. Fire Force is in my dropped list because I dropped it after 1 episode. It's called its Japanese name on here which is Enen no Shouboutai. There are a few shows that I said are bad that I never watched like DBZ or Naruto though.
