| My god, that was the worst place they could have ended that episode at. It's already obvious who actually won the stage, so why not just announce it already. That said, it feels like we're not being given sufficient time to consider each candidates' dish and instead they just want to get this arc over as fast as possible. It feels like we're not being given time to enjoy the matches and then "ding" the next match is up already. I just hope they don't screw up on Soma's next opponent, cause that would be an epic fail. |

| OMFG Are you kidding me? You resolve the first match in one episode and the one that is supposed to be less interesting gets at least the beginning of another episode on top of a full episode... Those priorities. Well. I still expect Megumi to lose considering Souma needs to get his revenge. This is shounen after all. Can't have his rival drop out of the tournament so early. As much as I'd like her to win(and I guess the chances aren't really that bad. She is a main character, too. Souma is just more important) |

| Lol I was just watching Gintama's hot spring JoJo parody arc, now we get more JoJo references here :P Megumi and Souma are very alike in their cooking :D @BlueBalls Yeah, I agree with you. I liked season 1 more. I only feel a little impact to none this season |

| Another solid follow up episode. Pace went down a notch but I think that was for the best, Alice absolutely stole this weeks scenes. Erina also said a few things that make more sense now. |

| I'm glad J.C kept the Jojo reference between Megumi and Kurokiba. They really nailed that scene and the face off extremely well. Alice remains very cute, even when she throws a strop after she lost to Yukihira. =P Gramps remain absolutely badass, even though Ryo easily dis-robed him with his Soupe de Poisson. The pace did go down a slight bit, but I'm glad it's not too slow. No worries from me at all. Overall, this was another great episode. =) |

| Very good episode, much like the first. Maybe even better since the first felt a little rushed but this didn't at all. |
| I'm rooting for Megumi in this one but I don't think she'll win not a manga reader. From the start I find Megumi as the most realistic character when it comes to cooking/shokugeki etc. She was never at the 'prodigy' level like the others (Erina Souma even Hisako etc.) she barerly made it to this big tournement in the first place.All the things she has accomplished to date were all thanks to her hardworking nature.I just hope she could build up her courage without relying on Souma too much but she has finally started to doing that too.All in all I think she is one of a character that has progressed the most out of all and I'm just lovin' it. Now my theory (even though it's obvious) I don't think Megumi will win this fight the next episode's title just screams it ''Generation of prodigies'' yeah Ryo is a better candidate for that title. |

| Great episode. Love the ED song. Megumi vs Kurokiba. Love how Megumi is becoming more confident with her cooking & not letting Kurokiba get to her. Two excellent Ramen dishes. Alice is so adorable as a child & Kurokiba is such a boss at a young age. That authority. Gotta love that JoJo reference. Whose gonna take this one out? The wait until next week is going to be long. Hisako up next in the preview. |

| I loved how both Megumi and Ryo had such contrasting personalities. Megumi is level headed, a bit shy, and often lacks confidence. She cooks with precision and nutrition in mind to meet the needs of her customers. Ryo is abrasive and forceful, trying to dominate his kitchen and force his customers into submission with food that packs a powerful lunch. This usage of this particular foil is especially interesting since they're both seafood experts, yet have completely different styles of cooking using seafood. This is why I love their match up so much, especially when Ryo acknowledges Megumi and says "You're making it more interesting." On the side note, I love how the flashbacks were integrated. I also like how a little tension between Alice and Erina were made when Erina was jealous how Alice could cry so expressively. Also, Souma looked way too calm in the audience for my taste; I was expecting a ridiculous comment from him, but alas I didn't get that. This episode resembles last season a lot. It was so entertaining that I'm craving for more (even though I already read the manga to its most recent update). |
