Not a great ending but a good one for a series IMAO... there are too many things that are not revealed. And that love triangle between best friends and childhood friends LOL. I'm not expecting for a second season, but I'm wishing for that one.

And that scene where Iris blushed when she get jealous for Mizuki hugging Male Nagisa. And what she said "This man is.......(Childhood Friends?? Servant??Fiance(LOL)).. But still I'm shipping Nagisa x Mizuki.

Better than I expected. Nice ending. The "love triangle" scene was quite fun, but unnecessary. Well, after that kiss in episode 11 I don't think the real Nagisa have a chance with the fake Nagisa.

9/10.

Hoping for a season 2.

I was kinda hoping for a threesome ending with Nagisa x Iris x Mizuki, It became real. Yehey!

I think Iris already likes Nagisa since they were little kids and she just remembered when her memories came back. Still it was a good tactic that they separated from Kirishna co and made their own company.

This is a good show, it was kinda of dull at the first half but gets better at the next.

Not the worst adaption definitely NOT good either. Mediocre at best, still didn't get the point of A-TEC until the very end and so many unanswered questions. Also, it's obvious Nagisa #2 is in love with his princess. He was caught in the moment with Mizuki because she was a believer and supported him which in the end *anime logic he fell in love with her too. Typical...

NOOOO!!! It's too damn short to end!

The build up in the first half wasted soo much time...they should have used it to give a more satisfying ending.

Glad Nagisa was rescued. Now a love triangle??! Nagisa don't get all confused all of a sudden! You already chose Mizuki, I like Iris but why now? She likes Nagisa too?? well that was expected. In the end they did not reveal Nagisa's real name. >sigh<

Nagisa (guy) x Mizuki all the way!!!!

Happy ending...I really enjoyed the series! 10/10, Nyahahahah

Well Iris never told anyone who she really is and the fake Nagisa is the only one that knows. We never found out who the fake Nagisa really is, but in the end he has two girls that care about him!

The season started off rather slow, but I feel that it picked up midway, and I really liked this anime. Yes it could have been better and I feel that we didn't get all the info we should have.

Overall I give this a 7/10! May have to check out the manga just so I can get the answers to some of my questions!
So glad that I'm not a huge manga reader, because the manga readers WHINE WAY TOO MUCH and have to RUIN every adapted anime for the ANIME ONLY WATCHERS!

Decent finale, the outcome of the rescue mission was expected, but it didn't cross my mind that they would quit the company to start anew.

That ending really screams for the second season. The relationship between Nagisa-Mizuki-Iris, Nagisa's real name, the rivalry (?) between Kirishina and the new A-TEC, not to mention the father. Would definitely watch it if they're making one.

Not something I'd watch again, but decent for entertainment. The last third or so was certainly better than anything coming before it.
Too many plot threads were left hanging at the end, so much so that it practically is pleading and begging on its knees for a season 2 that will likely never come unless it's one of those shows that the studio heavily invests in. The story is NOT well written but the maneuvering is reminiscent of a chess match between amateurs; terribly played but hilarious to watch. Kaito, Mizuki, Nagisa and Iris were the highlights of the show. The whole love triangle thing is shoehorned in though, so they kind of threw in the towel there, though it doesn't seem malicious at all, more like comedy.
Seeing Kaito carrying forth the plan was pretty cool knowing that he's the dumb, straightforward idiot of the cast. Kazuhisa was clearly not expecting it from him and it showed in his face.
BGM nothing special. I do like the OP and ED.
Animation quality obviously took a hit in the last few episodes. Less noticeable in the finale, episode 12 was probably the worst of them. Otherwise decent.

Finally, Pro tip for all anime viewers: you are here to be entertained, if the show doesn't do that for you then drop it and be done, don't keep watching so you can have something to drag through the mud unless somebody's paying you to do that shit. Why torment yourself?

This show was definitely uneven, but I like the last three eps the best so at least it left off at a high note for me.

Really, last minute love triangle? I don't think "Iris" cares for "Nagisa" romantically, and really, can't we have a single girl be happy for her friend's love in an anime?

All in all I wouldn't watch CC again, but it had its moments here and there. Gave it a "Good" for the fun corporation backstabbery (not the actual backstab though) and the eps that actually pulled the plot along - number-wise I feel it's closer to 6 but "Fine" sounds too distant again :P

Yeah, I just ignore it. :) Still, I don't think it's much worse than average. It's just that it tries to appear as something real, rather than some space aliens supertech.

MihoWittmann said:
Why did 'Nagisa' embrace his false identity—to protect the real Nagisa from the Kiryus knowing she was alive, or to exact revenge thinking she was dead?

Both? I mean there is plenty to exact revenge for even knowing that Nagisa is alive. And he might not even know it before he started to work at A-TEC. I don't think it was ever specified.

MihoWittmann said:
Then, why did he falter when his identity was called out by Kazuhisa?

I blame Kaito! It's all his bad influence. :-D Nagisa was already wavering, rethinking what's really important for him, what does he wants to achieve, and here is the golden opportunity to start anew, be himself. I can see how it could get to him. Still, I was half-expecting him playing for his brother. I don't think we ever know, but it could work both ways. Choose your favorite.

MihoWittmann said:
On that note, why leave everything behind to create the new company when Nagisa ought to own half of Kirishina and be able get the rest of the ownership in prison?

Nah, that's naive. What's the proof that Iris is Nagisa? What's the proof of anything untoward happening? Everything is covered, and cleaned up. This is a huge business, well connected, with their own set of high ranking politicians willing to exchange favors. Literally noone cares about what had happened in the past unless they can turn it to their advantage, but this only means that Kirishina Corp. management will just have to pay their way out of it. Why would anyone put their bets on their opposition?

I'm not complaining about impossible propulsion, but that it can be used to do implausible things. Anime set in space used to at least nod to rocket physics, and this series is supposed to centered around some rocket scientists fer goodness.

That makes sense, but not if he was trying to protect Nagisa (as he says this episode), and if he was trying to make a name for himself (which seems to be the case) he shouldn't have broken down. Fake Nagisa definitely never was a 'logical' guy.

Elfster said:

The problem is, now they can't stop Kazuhisa as they wanted to, and I'm sure they're at as much risk of getting destroyed by him. What really makes this suck as an ending is not what exactly happens, it's that there where what looked like pretty interesting plotlines about the Nagisas and Kazuhisa, that were just abandoned to slap this on. I was still looking forward to this episode, to see what would happen, and well, nothing happened.

Anime of the season....

Although that Iris x Nagisa stuff came out of nowhere, although I personally saw it as just two childhood friends reuniting emotionally rather than love.. though looking at those posts you'd think they confessed their love or something. Nagisa likes Mizuki romantically, Nagisa likes Iris as a childhood friend.

Well pretty original anime with great original characters, in a shitty season this was undoubtly the best anime. I personally loved it, although its pretty damn flawed, if this was a better season then no way this would be the best, but this is a good anime among the shit. Really, what else is there to like this season? Charlotte? Rokka? roflmao. Shame the ending was slightly rushed and didn't answer EVERYTHING, but it was a good ending with all they had to work with (13 episodes),.

I really REALLY hope for a season 2, I binge watched this entire anime in one day, its soooo underrated, or nobody seemed to care about it, no popularity whatsoever. I haven't even heard about it till today AFTER it ended....

Well don't weasel out on us with a love triangle ending, it's pretty clear that Nagisa likes both Iris and Mizuk, and we had some yuri sub-text between the two girls right up until the end of series. Just make it a threesome and live happily ever after. And it's not like this is foreign to the Kiryu bloodline, since Iris the result of a liaison rather than a first marriage. Other than that this was a pretty reasonable show, but it missed a lot of opportunities and had some real pacing problems at the beginning. I'd ship Hanako with Kaito on the rebound too, but they didn't do enough with her character despite the fact she was more interesting than the female mains. 7/10 over-all, but if they'd gone full threesome I would have rated it higher.

Pretty good episode. It was actually much better than I thought it would be considering how the previous episode ended. As others have said, the first 4-5 episodes weren't very good, but the episodes that came after were pretty good.

When the actual rescue started, I wasn't sure how they planned to pull it off once they had less than a minute left. I initially thought the plan was to line the two ships up, send someone in to get 'Nagisa' out, then detach the two ships and just let the X2 collide with the asteroid, but I guess not. The mission would have been a complete failure if that was the plan.

I find it hilarious that Kazuhisa honestly thought he had all the cards in his hands, and was even going to let 'Nagisa' die, then try to sweep it under rug. I don't understand how he's angry that the guy who he left for dead now wants to resign. What's even worse is that he then says, "You'll regret this". How so exactly? Correct me if I'm wrong, but your the one who's losing an entire team of young and incredibly talented engineers and other businessman/positions, and an equally talented businessman/ manager in 'Nagisa'. If anyone is going to regret anything, then it's Kazuhisa for playing his cards the wrong way.

As for the romantic subplot, I can't say I'm happy that they're going the love triangle route. While Iris' apparent interest in either Mizuki or 'Nagisa' was alluded to in some of the previous episodes. This sudden rivalry between her and Mizuki came out of nowhere. This shows what a great friend she is by getting in the way, considering that she knows that Mizuki and 'Nagisa' are probably a thing now, but I digress.

Based on the ending, I can only assume that this is getting a second season, but I'd like to know how well the blu ray volumes are selling in Japan. I would be all for a second season if it ever happens.
Matsuoka Yoshitsugu has hardly any range as a voice actor, and is grossly over-cast.

I'm glad this was free streaming on Daisuki, if not I would've probably never seen it.

Liked it a lot, but, -sadly- despite the plotholes (like, Kiryuu Nagisa's real name, or him and Iris real relation in the past, or why Hanako is so epic) I don't think this needs a Second Season, because, what we needed to understand what was going on were pretty clear and didn't felt forced at all.
The Main Message of the story was "Ideals over glory", and that was nicely accomplished.
So, what will happen with that apparent love triangle?... Who knows? Don't you have a life? Mind your own business! :3
Anyway, if 2ndS comes out I'll definitely watch it, 'cause, in the end, I really liked the main characters and the story writing style as well.

I love this ending! It's so sweet and adorable! I'm still for NagisaxMizuki, but for once the triangle isn't that annoying actually. Well, I must say that after that twist a few episodes ago this has certainly gotten more interesting. And actual romance! A cute kiss scene in an anime that isn't focused in romance is so hard to come by!

I would definitely watch a season two of this.

It's a solid 8/10 for me. I surprisingly enjoyed this show immensely because I put it on-hold for a month because of the lackluster first episode. My only problem with the ending is Nagisa's indecisiveness about Iris and Mizuki. It just doesn't make sense for him to be confused. Sure, Iris could have fallen in love with Nagisa but Nagisa being confused is just BS. That beautiful, if I might add, kiss scene between Mizuki and Nagisa was supposed to canonize them already, god. But, other than that, the show was really really good. I loved it so much. Hoping for a second season.

The first few episodes I watched of this were so boring, I could hardly handle it. But after a while it gradually picked up pace and began getting interesting.

The only other things wrong with it were that the ending felt rushed and that love triangle was shoved in our faces so fast that I couldn't believe it??

Honestly, I was hoping for more Mizuki/Nagisa (Iris) because I found them so adorable and that the relationship between Nagisa (Iris) and Nagisa would be more familial, instead of romantic.

Also, I felt Mizuki and the rest were super insensitive in ordering Nagisa (Iris) to pilot when it was obvious that she wouldn't be able to handle it? I understand they couldn't find another pilot, but come on.

The last episode gives a nice impact! Though a lot of people I know drop this series a few episodes of this series since the beginning. I admit that the story is running slow, but the approaching end of the driving intensified.

Judging from the amount of progress that can be used as the development of the story, from the past that has not been announced Iris in others, the relationship romance suddenly formed, joining former boss Sera, father of Kiryuu is a mystery, etc. May be described in a special episode that will air later this year. Hmm .. We'll see.

Not sure why everyone seems disappointed by the end of this show. I mean, sure they messed up pretty badly with the romantic plot development, but overall the corporate politicking was done quite well, albeit by the end of last episode it was pretty damn obvious what their last presentation was going to be.

Thing is, with all the unresolved issues (Nagisa's true name, the Dad calling up big bro, the unnecessary love triangle, the crazy military robo dude), they did pretty well to set up a second season if they wanted to make one. Personally I found it extremely satisfying that it wasn't all ponys and rainbows at the end of the show, such is the reality of life... you move on to the next challenge after overcoming the last one.

As Nagisa said at the end: "Time to take over the World!"
