Great episode. Again, Rakudai is not harem.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

That fucking fight. Holy shit. HOLY SHIT.

Also love how they portrayed Ikki's tension before the actual match. This writing staff really knows how to do the atmosphere.

Surprised by the actual ending of episode because it is relatively unusual for LNs.

I was hoping the fight is longer...like ending this episode with Kirihara revealing he can conceal his arrows contrary to what Ikki knows, then the next episode would be the continuation of the fight, and the confession.

Honestly, I was hoping for a monologue from Ikki that reveals he really was about to give up....and Kirihara being actually someone "cool" at the first few seconds of their fight (as in cool for the NPCs) not donwright annoying...his toothy grin made him really...disgusting. The good thing about their fight though is the ending, where Ikki purposely missed the strike inches from Kirihara's face.

The confession was wonderfully done I guess. Well except for the fact that Shizuku wasn't able to say that she accepts Stella and that she was happy that Stella said those words in the middle of Ikki's fight. And the convo of Stella and Ikki about Ikki almost giving up. And that they're each other's first.

Too bad it won't fit in one episode. 4/5 for me.

On a side note: If an anime/episode is bad, some people will hate it. If an anime/episode is good, some people will still hate it. It's just how the world works (and how some people wanna look cool, really). So I'm gonna be here, eating my popcorn 'cause I feel that a war is about to breakout....maybe~ lol

Generic MC.....lay off your drugs, guys.

Brilliant episode, the hype for this was justified. The fight was awesome and the voice acting of Matsuoka was incredible, just made it even more great. The love confession from both MC's was so good.

Great episode! I loved every minute. Alice's talk with Ikki in the beginning was really great, he's a really great friend (as well as hugging Shizuku at the end).

The fight with Kirihara was really annoying. I absolutely hated how cocky and trashy he was, especially with revealing Ikki's reason for fighting in the festival. And the other students are despicable, putting him down like that. Glad Kirihara turned into a squealing bitch once Ikki turned the tables.

And of course, Stella's shouting during the match was amazing. Her VA really did a wonderful job! I'm so glad the two are a couple now, and I can't wait to see what else is in store for them (hopefully a real kiss!!).

5/5 episode.

Ugh, that battle was horribly stupid. Bow growing out of a fruit, woods appearing out of nowhere, enemy chewing the scenery. In the manga it was an intense battle without all these nonsensical extras. How hard do you have to try to make such cringe worthy and boring battle so bad that it looses to still pictures in a manga that doesn't even have a great art to begin with. Silver Link really want this series to suck.

Apart from the fact that MC should have already been dead before getting power up (or at least his muscles should have make it impossible to move) This episode was extremely good.

The fight sequence where Ikki goes SSJ, was really well animated. Adding to that there was also good character development and not fan service scene. Lastly the harem route was destroyed as the main characters confessed their feelings to each other. I also like that Stella personality, "tsundere but not really".

The episode was so good that I even ignored the loli teacher appearance and the fact that the story's general plot is bad. (bad = so many times repeated that even in this season we have three animes in total that are about the same thing)

I am still not sure whatever I will not drop it somewhere but for now I was rewarded for sticking with this anime for those four episodes.

Let's see if people can still call this a harem after that last scene.

exactly this episode made it all clear that Ikki loves Stella and the same for her too, anyone who continues to call this a harem is just being plain ignorant

Amazing ep!

Loved the little heart 2 heart between Ikki and Alice, followed by some great action scenes.

This felt more like an epic season finale, so that fact that we're only on the fourth episode is just getting me more hyped for whats to come

The jungle looked ridiculous.

Okay, I think it's good that they took out all the "if Ikki were to lose Stella would have to go out with Kirihara" crap from Kirihara but why take out all the based dialogues from Ikki, Silver Link? First in episode 3 now in episode 4.

One: "I know you have just taken three steps back" (sending shivers down the spine of Kirihara, when he was basically invisible and took three steps back.)

Two: Right now you are looking so incredibly cute I just couldn't resist myself (as he hugged Stella).

I shouldn't have read the manga. I shouldn't have. Because the episode would have been much more enjoyable for me otherwise.

Nice. Seeing Kirihara begging for his life and the blade 1 mm away from his face was epic. So damn hilarious lololol

StellaxIkki scene at the end was so kawaiii <3 Finally a series of this type having the romance concluded from vol1 and having the red haired girl actually be really lovable <3

The AlicexShizuku scene was nice too

And I'm really liking the loli ^^

Uhm if you look closely, when we first see the blue screen the subs say "form of consent" but after a second the camera switches to behind the screen, now the words are mirrored so the subs do the same

The fight was good, the moment that guy started "playing piano" was kinda cringe worthy though. I hate characters like him, glad to see him screaming for mercy

Amazing! I was on the edge of my seat the whole fight scene, the intensity was crazy.

The OST, the animation, and direction were really good especially the fight choreography. Silver Link definitely went all out this episode.

The confession at the end, I was just as happy as when I had read it previously. Can't wait for the rest of the big moments!!!

That was a pretty epic fight. Its been a long time since the last time a fight scene pumped me up. When he defeated that awfully despicable guy that felt so good. He should've cut off his head lol.

The romance is progressing pretty fast. A confession not in the final episode? well that doesnt happen quite often.

Just wrote my review of the first four episodes, the lovers-and-rivals could be a boost for the anime, but it's pretty generic by now. The battle wasn't great and the "power of love" saved the day again but I must admit that Ikki is an interesting character.

Just read your review and I respect your point of view, but I think you're exaggerating about Stella's fanservice. In this episode Stella's fanservice last like what? 5 seconds? And I wouldn't call the confession's part fanservice.

Sorry, I must have explained myself wrong, the romantic part isn't fanservice. To the contrary, it might be one of the best parts of the show so far.

Brilliant episode! Loved Ikki's conversation with Alice. Had a lot of meaning to it. The fight was epic and that confession was cute.

Only small complaint I have is that I wish they'd removed the ending song to extend the confession scene. I remember it being slightly longer in the manga. Still a great episode nevertheless.

Perfect Vision? More like deus-ex-machina, in this case painted with the old "power of love" brush. Despite that, the fight was pretty well done, both halfs (before and after Perfect Vision) were compelling and engaging in their own ways, especially given how OP they both were. Also, I sure didn't expect a confession to come up in the fourth episode like that. And moving away from the harem element this quickly is a very welcome change.

This could turn out to be a little surprise this season, which I wouldn't mind at all.

The one reason I'm paying more attention to this show than Asterisk and Taimadou 35 is there's finally a relationship aspect in this "generic magic battle high school" show. And by relationship I don't mean romance. I actually mean two people who openly admit their feelings for each other and actually reach boyfriend-girlfriend status. Now it just depends on how they handle it from here on.

Except, it had a huge time skip in the first volume and romantic development just somehow appeared between the two of them. But we start seeing the romance develop a bit later in the release SAO volume 2 and SAO Progressive. So... yeah... I still think Rakudai nailed it better.
