It was nice watch.
Although it wasn't good as other notable sports anime, I think you can enjoy it as a casual watch.

Mizuki and Ooshiba's moments were the funniest in the series. The comedy was hilarious XD

Somehow I wanted to see a show-off b/w Chikako and MC's childhood friend. I wonder how it would have played out lol

Looking forward to the sequel.

Last episode of this season, a little boring, because all the episode is a pre-final match between Touin. The problem, that if you want to watch the final have to wait the next seaon/film/ova, i don´t know, but this was the best, last 30 seconds, of this boring episode!!!

in summary, the season was nice, with the general plot, but the draw was horrible, and the matchs, how this last semi-final was horrible, because in the football the time is important, and the extra time too, but is not fixed how basketball o handball, is a little flexible, although do a match a little epic and dramatic is spectacular but, for me, don´t like much.

The character principal, Tsukamto, is a nice character, although in the soccer is not the poker, you don´t arrive with a full and win the match, if you have full, is better go to a royal flush!!!

6/10 is my note, i am sure that watched, in the future, the continuation ;)

YES!!! It finally ends but I'am still hoping for a second season. It is very amazing that I saw some amazing moments about Tsukushi. I'am looking forward for the next season however, I was expecting this season that the main character will be more powerful and agile but I saw it only for a few moments. I hope that in next season the author will give some real spotlight for this young man and I wish that he will be the beast of the beast because that's what I'am expecting for him. He will reach farther and I'am sure of that and he can show his true power. So GO!! GO!! SEISEKI!!! WOOOH!! :O

Ubukata is so cute! Good to see that she's being useful for the team. I found her to be quite similar to Mamori from Eyeshield 21.

What's with that creepy face, Ooshiba?

Can't wait for season 2. Just score some goals already Tsukushi.

Score: 6/10

In detail:

This series isn't exceptional.
The characters are very cliches and all belong to the same ideal: "We like to play with Seiseki and we want to win" It makes sense but the author doesn't try to develop them.
For a series with a major part of slice of life, it was important for example to show more the relationship between Tsukamoto and his mother or with his childhood friend.

The evolution of Tsukushi is interesting and is done gradually during the different matches.
We finally understood in the second part of the series why Jin Kazama proposed to Tsukushi to play soccer. And fortunately because I found the beginning don't make sense.

Animation alternates between 3D and traditional animation. However, in the last episodes, there are a lot of fixed shots that break the action. In the 1990s, I could accept it but there was a lack of money or time?

The music is motivating and the openings are very satisfying.

I spent overall good moments in front of this series despite moments a bit forced and sometimes boring, especially at first.
I am not a soccer specialist, but I find that some basic rules aren't respected. Sometimes it looks like fighting. xD

I stopped watching around episode 11 and waited for the series to finish airing. I'm glad I didn't drop it. Days was a heartfelt and endearing anime with a wonderful variety of characters and some nice development. MAL ought to delete all those half-assed reviews made after six episodes or so.

Probably laughed a bit too hard when the coach misunderstood Ubukata doing compensation dating in a sailor uniform XD

The only thing I wasn't feeling was how they skipped Hiroyuki's monologues and the part with his grandfather.

Looking forward to Season 2 now.

No, not even close lol. Kimishita was the star of the last game...he scored 3 goals dude. Literally the reason Tsukushi was so hard on himself and why he was crying; because he missed several opportunities to score a goal and make a mark for himself.

I'll agree that his growth is amazing tho.

yes and even the other players on both teams point out he got those goes due to him, the team became so paranoid about what he was doing they kept making mistakes.

The apparent lack of animation quality and budget for this show is saved by the quite cliche yet not so story, awesome direction and execution for both the flow and music. I will still recommend anyone who is a fan of sport anime to watch this show as well. 7/10 for me

I thought they ended this episode very well too, 5/5!

Out of my 8 years of watching anime Days was the first sports anime I ever fully watched and enjoyed. I tried watching Kuroko no Basuke and Free but they didn't really do it. So when I started watching the show I thought I would just drop it, but I began to get really into!

Ik many people are saying it's only average and cliché, but I thought it was amazing. Mainly just because it was a sports anime and I was surprised I really like it. So I'm giving it a 9/10.

I really excited for the next season!!!!!!!! Can it come sooner!

I have watched anime for more than 10 years and I like to ask you to give Haikyuu! a try. That was the best sport anime I have ever watched and it's the only one sport anime to ever receive 10/10 from me.

Kuroko no Basket season 1 was very good but the show got complacent after that in my humble opinion. I enjoyed Free a lot too but definitely not as much as others like Diamond no Ace or even Chihayafuru (just to name a few).

It feels like the author has never watched a game of football and just skimmed through the rules, because he certainly does not know how the rules really work.

Kuroko is shit, so you really weren't doing yourself any favors there. As for Free, it's a little different from your usual sports anime.I recommend you give Hajime no Ippo a shot. It's got it's problems, but it is quite good. There's also Inazuma Eleven, which I found rather interesting despite how over the top it is.

LOL at Kimishita so pissed-off to the bashing spectators!
pettanko Ubukata is so cute with blush on that disguise student uniform!
Ubukata researched the opponent of Seiseki so that at least she would help the whole team and make her really part of the Team!
Tsukamoko with his generic shouting "Seiseki FAITOH!"

Tsukamoto is one of the worst MC in a sports anime I have ever seen. It's a really big shame when the other characters are really good like Kazuma, Mizuki and Kimishita. Pretty disappointed in my first soccer anime and I really was hoping for better. 5/10 I'm not thrilled for a season 2 but I'll probably watch it just for the characters I like that I mentioned.

Glad to see this show's getting a second season. No, it's not a really exceptional anime or anything. The animation during matches was heavily lacking (whole lot of stills and panned still shots). The story maybe felt a bit stupid at times. And I can understand why a lot of viewers hated the MC.

That said, I still really enjoyed watching this. It had a funny, diverse cast with a lot of great character interactions, which is why I thought Days's brightest moments were off the pitch, with the everyday, slice of life stuff. All four OPs and EDs were pretty good too. Anyway, glad it's coming back.

Great final episode and an enjoyable show overall with lots of quirky comedic moments. I liked the second half of the season more than the first half but it might be because I binge watched it instead of watching new episodes weekly, the momentum of the matches isn't lost that way.

The final match was great, I loved seeing the focus on players aside from the three arrows, and it showed Seiseki has a lot more than just Mizuki and Kazama. Also really liked how the opposing team was fleshed out, lots of emotional moments in their story. And we got a glimpse of Kimishita and Ooshiba paying on the same team in middle school... I really how second season will expand on that. It wad a nice touch at the end too, with the other first years, I'm excited to see their growth next season.

Enjoyable first half despite writing flaw, second half has a dip in quality imo. I have the same complaints that I have with Ginga e Kickoff and Haikyuu: games feel like the players were trying to prove a point, rather than actually let the game played out by itself, like in Ginga e Kickoff; too much talking and forced jokes in game like Haikyuu.

I also dislike how dirty plays rarely get called until the end of series where the story was trying to prove a point in Tsukushi's development as a player.

I don't get what's so special about Tsukushi, as a player, as a leader. I mean, yeah, seeing how hard he works do get people pump up, but that's really all. It wasn't until the very end where he finally can do something worthwhile, before that it was all shouting and cheering, and tons of running.

The games in the first half of the series were also more hype than the games in the second half where I don't really feel the stakes.

Lastly, Ubukata is bae. Tsukushi needs to hook up with her asap.

Well it was okay I guess. Not the best anime but obviously not the worst. The MC was horrible. xDD Like I really hated him, and I didn't spot much character development either. But the other characters were hilrious. The story also was kinda boring, since they came to the same realization in each episodes, then in the next episode they began everything from the start. Not too brilliant. On the other hand the comedy part was flawless, one of the funniest anime I've ever seen. And also I'm a crazy football fanatic and I was glad that I saw the makers knew at least the basic rules of the game pretty well.

From beginning to end this was a really great episode, from the usual start with the orchestral background music to the 'secret' training that Tsukushi's always up to. I wonder what was going on with that little kid who supposedly got all nervous.
I really liked this first season, ignoring some things this anime was really great, fun to watch, some feels and hella funny at times. This will surely be a recommendation from me.
8/10 for this first season and I'm highly looking forward to its second season.

Ahhh ah, what a tease!

Days has certainly been a peculiar journey. About halfway through this series, I was trying to think of an excuse to continue as I dreaded another 12 episodes of mediocrity and cheese. Now that I'm at the end, I'm all revved up and nothing short of delighted to see a sequel in the making. There were definitely marked improvements in the second half and it even made me better appreciate some of the things I wasn't too fond of early on.

Without a doubt, Tsukushi was the most dynamic part of Days. Initially he struck me as a whiny Onoda rip-off whose appeal fell flatter than his face every time he tripped. I didn't much care for him and those rosy little cheeks. Watching his growth, however, he really did end up growing on me a great deal. It was interesting to see how a useless player ended up becoming a valuable asset to a well seasoned team. Rather than powering up or growing at an insanely absurd pace, he found creative ways to make use of what little he could offer and ended up becoming a Kuroko-esque player in the sense that he was meticulously observant of details that most people wouldn't notice (on a side note, I like how this is conveyed through how he had to become more mindful of the world around him as he pushed his mother's wheelchair around). It was also his mindset that changed how he contributed to the team. From simply wanting a place to belong to discovering the thrill of soccer, Tsukushi became a pillar of support and earned all my respect when he could shout "Seiseki, fight!" even against all odds.

I also particularly liked Chikako's character as she often made some really good points. It was also nice seeing that dynamic of her trying to motivate Tsukushi and ironically being inspired by him. She definitely dished out lots of inspirational speeches. Very quote worthy indeed.

And that was one thing about this series that stuck out to me right from the get go. Even in spite of the corny and cringe worthy moments, there was always something insightful to take away in the midst of it. Mizuki, for all of his crazy babbling, says one of my favorite lines in the whole show. "Hard work will never betray you."

All in all, Days certainly bounced back from what I thought was going to be an easily forgettable seasonal side dish into another sports series I can add to the repertoire of what makes this genre so great. Unfortunately the CGI was the only thing that never got better and I really hope they minimize that in the next season. More preferably, I hope that style of CG character designs gets purged from the anime industry asap.

Wow, so it was quite good overall. I'm giving it a 8/10 as I got a lot out of watching DAYS. The characters are really interesting and I love the main duo, Tsukushi and Kazama. Tsukushi himself is a very interesting sports anime lead, not one I've seen more. He isn't overpowered at all compared to crazy people like Ryoma (Prince of Tennis) or Sena (ES21) or Goro (Major) but he's quite normal. He started soccer in HS of course and he isn't great but he tries hard. He pushes the team forward and it's a great sight. I love that everyone improves when his prescense is added. I didn't get truly invested in DAYS until the latter half. I regret not being too into it. The team is really fun to watch especially with people like Mizuki and Kamishita who are talented but not overpowered. You can see why they are talented.

I look forward to the sequel!

In the end, Ubukata ended up being more useful to the team than that excuse of a coach the school has. Given how confused some of the players were, it even seems the guy never gave a proper technical talk before.

What can I say? As a football fan, this series was atrocious. Its portrayal of football rules was terrible and as many other people said here, it really felt like the author had never watched or played the sport before. Referees showing up only when the author wanted, coaches being mere jokes with no power of decision in their teams, obvious tactical decisions not being taken... seriously, this show certainly tested my patience in more than one occasion.

As for other aspects, animation was almost non-existent during matches and regarding cast, it wasn't really that remarkable besides maybe three or four characters. Tsukushi in particular, was pretty infuriating as MC and in my case, way too wimpy to be likeable.

Welp , this series has amazing characters , as well as some of the best underdog protagonists. No super power magic ball too.

Too bad it is adapted by half-ass studio. Half of the matches are moving PPT which makes the game feels super confusing..

If Kyoto Anime or Production IG adapt this anime series , it'd easily be a 8.5~9/10 series
But because of bad production , I can only give this a 7/10.
