| One way to look at is that the reason why the dog dying could be a bigger deal is because life was actually lost. No one died because the guy banged his wife but the young man took life. But i highly doubt that was the intent. They should have just had lesser secret from the first person. Would have made lot more sense. |
| It would be interesting if he was never actually dead but always thought that his friend did something to his dog. So he staged his death and got his other peers to play along to get the confession. Would explain why he didn't jump up at his friend knocking up his wife hehe. |
