I really like this episode overall. The foreshadowing is very well done, and I liked the new anime only scene they added with the phone chat. The voice actors fit the characters nicely.

Same director of Ishuzoku Reviewers, so I'm kinda worried that they might go overboard with fanservice. But so far, it's been like the manga, so hopefully it gets better later on as well, because it does harm the immersion and damages the tone of the scenes.

Not that I would drop it because of that anyway, I just hope the anime remains a faithful adaptation and knows when to take itself seriously.

Great start to the show. Loved this episode. OP is great too. Feel sorry for Miko having to pretend not to see them ghosts. The monsters themselves look well designed also. Looking forward to the next episode!

Wow Passione managed to make it more scary in the first 5 minutes than anything it did in 2 seasons of freaking Higurashi.

I guess having a competent director really does wonders.

I hope the quality remains.

As for the fanservice; does it have a reason to be here?No
Do I like what I see?Yes.

As long as it isnt during the ghost encounters it is fine.

I expected SoL + horror and got ecchi + horror. Not complaining.....

It was a great start. Definitely gonna stick around, such a weird combination. lol

I hope at least there will be some real plot as to why Miko sees stuff and it appears the girl who bumped into them in the morning also sees them somewhat, just not as clearly. Boobs™ doesn't seem to be seeing anything.

OP and ED are pretty good too.

I was slightly worried about it being a horror comedy, but there wasn't much comedy. It was more like a horror SOL if that makes sense. I really liked how the ghosts were drawn differently from the everyday showing the difference in the natural and supernatural worlds.

The fanservice wasn't that bad. We've all seen worse.

First it surprises me, many youtuber were wrong in the synopsis. She is not a girl who ignores ghosts because they do not care about them but to protect herself because she is very afraid, I like she is not the typical character who sees ghosts and talks to them and there is no consequences this is due to the series is a well balanced story of comedy and horror, the ghosts seem original to me and also 60% the design of the protagonist and that of the friends seem the most generic, the op and ed seemed to me asserted I like the op more and the only thing that I didn't like and it couldn't be helped is that the ECHII is exaggerated, it wasn't shown much, it's the first chapter, but giving the necessary camera angles to the rear instead of one or two, they were like Five and that's what I hear an idea where the shots go with this anime

Some nice angles this episode. They're already teasing 'that' too, was surprised to see it so early or maybe it was always a thing, been too long. Being animated doesn't seem to up the creepiness factor. Was hoping things like noise/ambience and what not could add more to some scenes but eh.

Well, the manga did tone down the ecchi later on, but since the track record of the 1st EP already diverged quite much from the source materials, anything can still goes from here. In fact, since they didn't seem to plan to adapt the manga faithfully either, there's a high chance that the ecchi shall stays instead, to attract more audiences.

Hell I hope they tone it down with the ecchi. It's totally unnecesary and the story is the best part of the manga. I expect more reactions from Mieruko than what we saw in the first chapter.

It's obviously a loose adaptation looking at the story side, I don't have high expectations.

It's good, butt I just realised I simply don't like Passione's assthetics or style. From DxD to Higu to this, they simply can't convey through art what is meant to be conveyed. For eg, here the apparitions are more annoying than horrifying. Ass a result, the only things left to convey the tone is the music and sfx. We'll see about that.
Ganbare Mieruko! Keep up that poker face. But she needs hugs. Hana glomping wouldn't be enough.

First 15 eps of Gou where we dont know anything could use some scary atmosphere even if the scenes arent that scary.

But yeah instead we got C movie quality gore and splatter.

Okay episode. I'm not a fan of the color palette since the bright-ish colors makes everything feel a lot less scary and tense (similar to what the same studio did for Higurashi Gou and Sotsu). And the random ass and thigh shots...I mean, some fanservice is fine but c'mon, at least don't do it during the ghost scenes. It completely destroys the tension and horror aspect for me. I probably should've expected this since the anime apparently also has a "comedy" tag, which is a bit disappointing. But still, hope they tone it down in the future episodes and there's an overarching plot to this or I could see it getting repetitive real quick.

So first half of the episode was Anime original? I haven't read much, but it does seem like that wasn't part of the Manga. It's a good thing though, it does build up the problem that had come over Miko and also shows a little of what happened prior to when she became able to see ghosts.

I have to say that the Anime really does a great job on making these ghosts feel a lot more creepy than in the manga, I guess the effects and sounds really adds to the atmosphere for the Anime and also reminds me why I absolutely hate HORROR. Yeah, I am such a pussy, cause I am freaked out by them already and it's only ep 1 T_T

Why, Passione? It wasn't enough with the way in how you killed the Higurashi franchise?

Incredible how the good effort in making the ghosts/creatures look almost as creepy as in the manga got decimated by the absurd amount of nonsensical ass-shots. What a way to break the immersion...

I thought this was gonna be the type of story that'd drop us in the middle and just give a brief summary of how Miko gained these powers and "this is how her life is going now". Wasn't expecting the first episode to actually start things off proper.
But in essence Ig the story is about a schizo trying hard not to show it to everyone else.

Wtf is that OP.

It was okay. The horror felt a bit weak, and there's a bunch of fanservice.
Before I started watching, I thought that this would become popular because Mieruko is a cute anime girl with the eye bags the internet has been raging about recently, and since the studio decided to put 90% of the budget in the fanservice shots, I think this appeal will probably rake in new viewers.

I really don't understand some of the decisions made in this first episode. Introducing Yuri this early is a strange move, to say the least, and I do not remember there being so much fanservice at any point in the manga (I know there were a few jokes about Hana here and there, but never much). The latter isn't too surprising when the director of Miru Tights and Interspecies Reviewers is at the helm, but it definitely completely breaks the tone that the episode is going for at first.

Also, why even play coy about Miko's ability for most of the episode? I very much doubt there's a single person who goes into this not knowing that she can see spirits, so why not just start with that rather than spending more than half the episode on meaningless fanservice and accomplishing absolutely nothing in the process? However, I will give credit where it's due: they really nailed the design of the spirits here and the atmosphere of those moments was much better (even if it was frequently disrupted by needless ass shots as well).

Spirits aside, this show already looks and feels very low-budget and I'm hoping it doesn't fall apart later on. I also don't especially like Sora Amamiya as Miko, as her panicky voice is just a bit too high and loud for my liking in this role. I also really don't like the OP at all as the "yamete" bit at the start and end sounds awful. Not the biggest fan of the ED either, in truth.

I won't be writing this adaptation off based on one episode, but this was incredibly disappointing besides the designs of the spirits. This better not be Passione's second disappointment in consecutive seasons after the Sotsu disaster.

I saw something in the room, and yeah it started with a dark scene in a small room. When the girl turned on the nightlight, the microwave and refrigerator turned on and a ghost appeared from inside.... It's like an ancient fairy tale but yeah, it's pretty scary. Hitoe and Junji, This host is pretty cool. First time to meet Yuria, she look like mysterious girl and also i like Hana, she has big oppai and especially with that pink bra hhmm... This is unique, the toilet scene where Miko-chan is shown and the pantsu, this is an erotic horror anime. I don't know why this girl's talk is really erotic, I like it when they eat but if the initial episode showed a scene of buying underwear, hmmm that's good. Give me shitagi scene, lol. I wonder, if Hana and Miko go to buy shitagi, then what size bra will Hana buy, is it J cup, huh?

When you can't hear something then the horror anime will become real horror, xD. The pic that was sent through the Line turned into a monster, a girl who can see monsters but the girl is not aware, this is interesting. Nee mieteru hhmmm... I don't know why this damn monster is so scary but also stupid. Yeah, She could see but pretended not to see, it was scary being able to see something that others couldn't see. Tried some rituals but yeah, it didn't work. The monster appeared in the bed, and yeah she almost got rape by mosnter look at this oppai

For an Op, it's pretty good and I like that especially she said yamete yamete yamete yamete kudasai.

Sorry but I have to ask to the manga readers, will Miko find a way to get rid of those ghosts, or be at least ligher for her or is it always going to be her trying to not react and suffering everytime she see one? Yeah some caps would be "funny" or entertaining, but I dont personally think I want a whole anime with this as the core.
As far as I see the comedy is going to be more about the interpretation she gives about the situation.

I suggest you to pick up on manga rather than asking for spoilers

Very good first episode. I like the way they executed the horror elements in the first half of the episode. I don't know where this will go, but it's kind of funny. It looks like it'll be very fanservice-y which is so inappropriate for the show, but whatever. I'll give it a pass, the idea isn't bad.

My confused brain while watching this first episode:

Should I laugh? Should I be scared? Oh, nvm I guess it's boner time.

Anyways, still a banger as a fan of the manga. Hopefully the ecchi gets tone down a bit though.
