| Another episode that hooks me. Seeing Canute's face it really looks like that he is the princess not the prince, and Thorkell's declaration of war between Thorfinn was nice and exciting. Looking forward to how Askellad will handle Canute. |

| I've got to wonder, how the Prince keeps his hair like that? I mean, sure, in the homeland I can imagine there is perfumed waters, soap, and all that... but in wartime? Either way, count me impressed. |

Likes: A good story, characters, writing, romance, a good plot twist or something that breaks expectations (In a good way), 'backstory' and justice. Dislikes: Bad romance, too much fanservice, the harem genre, yuri, yaoi, and bad writing. |

| Such an awesome episode again, the adaptation is near perfect for this episode, also Thorkell is the highlight, I'm telling ya, Thorkell is best waifu of the year xD |

| Just got around to watching this episode. Fantastic, really loved the last 10 minutes or so, and there's a nice dynamic between Thorfinn and Thorkell and it's brewing nicely for a confrontation later on. I see we have a trap as well with Canute. Surprised this ep hasn't received more 5/5 scores to be honest because I think it's been one of the best of the series to date. |
| I love how much respect everyone has for Thors. It was really cool how Thorkell said Thors was the only man stronger than him. Hmmm the prince tho. I had some suspicions that he might be a she. It's still not confirmed, but they are definitely teasing us. |

| Canute may look like a trap now but wait until many episodes later or perhaps a season later. Not only for Canute but for Thorfinn as well. Appearance-wise. Anyways, Thorkell has always been my favorite from the start next to Thors. I'm always happy when he's on screen or in a manga panel. He's just in it for the love of war. He'd travel all around the world to join in a battle that has absolutely nothing to do with him if it means he can fight against the strongest people in the world. |

Others as a religious conflict, even if it really wasn't: Vikings attacked everyone, but Christian states were the most advanced and thus richest. The relations between Christians and Norse wasn't that black and white. also, Viking attacks on other non-Christians are not so prominent in media because England and France didn't really care about those, even if they are more important for history in long term. In any case, by the time of Vinland Saga, majority of Norse nobility has converted to Christianity (King Sweyn is a Christian himself), and the religion has already spread across much of the population as well. In other words, the worshipers of Thor and Odin are already used to being led by Christians. |
