Anime's that I currently watch (BTW, pics are links):

I guess it's quite soon now, but have you looked at winter animes yet? For me it looks quite bad again, like with this season. Only four shows currently at my watchlist and only two of them I'm really looking forward to. Here's my list:
Durarara!!: Number 1 show for me. I loved Baccano and this is from the same creators so I'm really looking forward to it. Setting is also the most interesting one of the winter shows for me.
Hidden god: Originally a VN and Ryukishi07(higurashis and uminekos creator) as game director, so it promises some nice mystery.
Dance in the vampire bund: Well, what I got from that teaser it at least promises some awesome action scenes. My main problem is that it has the same director as bakemonogatari and I really dislike his style(Man those random texts that appear for 0.1s annoyed me).
Omamori hinamori: Every season needs one harem and it might promise something more too. Nuff said ;)
Found quite an interesting VN. To be honest, I'm really intrigued about this. VN+action game certainly looks interesting for me. Also it got really good ratings currently on VNDB. Really wish someone would start translating this, since I prefer VN's with action undertones and not purely about scoring chicks <_<.
And about Fate... only got to 11th day, but this is my only comment:

And it looks like you watched naruto episode 134. Man, Tobi is awesome. Whack-a-mole-no-jutsu had me laughing. Only he can beat whole Konoha with a stick :D.
[I wonder if Higurashi is a game. Umineko is a VN, but not a game: it has absolutely no choices so it is a pure novel with visuals... and awesome soundtracks...]
Well, it's from same creator and the game looks same(yes, even the same ugly character designs) so I think it's same with Higurashi.

Yeah, it's a shame. Maybe they add them later on, since currently VN's are being translated at faster pace than before.

It was a good build-up episode and I have a feeling a lot is going to happen in next episode. Still Suou's weed soup isn't match for Cal's hamburger soup. XD Suou's struggle between being human or contractor is interesting to watch, since she clearly hasn't lot all of humanity even after killing that animal, like seen in the end after ending.
[Also playing the Umineko VN. Man, man... does anime like to cut a lot... A lot of details that watchers need in order to try to solve the case are removed, 50% of character development is being removed, humour is less prominent... and all that is NOT a good thing.]
I guess all the whining about Umineko being bad/decent adaption is true, though I still like anime quite a lot. I probably plan to watch first anime then play VN, though there are a lot of other VN's I Need to play first. Higurashi on the other hand is supposed to be excelent adaption. I haven't played VN, but I loved anime. I guess it goes like this for most people:
Umineko>Higurashi(VN)
Higurashi>Umineko(Anime)

Lately I haven't got much time to play it since I needed to catch on few animes. I'm currently on the 10th day in Ilya's forest witnessing the fight between Saber(?) and Berserker. I think there's going to be fight between Sakura and Rin soon. Rin certainly cares for Sakura, eventhough she's saying she will kill her. Sakura on the other... I'm not sure. There certainly is some or actually a lot of negative emotions on her towards Rin. Still I can symphatize with her since she certainly got the worse life and Rin the better. Ahh... delicious drama is coming, I know it!!!
BTW have you played Tsukihime? It's from the same creators as F/SN. Once I'm done with Fate and Ever17, I plan to play it. Damn... currently my mind is being possesed to read VN's. First it was watching Anime nonstop, then reading Mangas and now it comes down to VN's. :D
