If you do what kind of workout?

I used to go to the gym 4 times a week but cause of corona not anymore so I'm stuck with only doing calisthenics

Yeah, occasionally I do a push up or two and fist fight my cat.
I'm pretty ripped, people barely even make fun of me when I take my shirt off.

I mainly lift free weights and do calisthenics. Used to do cardio back when I still had a belly but that shit got boring after a year.

I run at 8 (units) on treadmill for 5 minutes and walk at 5.5 (units) for 10 minutes. I don’t do it everyday and don’t remember what the units are but I’m sure you can tell if you have an idea.

Occasionally take walks when I'm bored but, only during cold weather (October-March), I'm 5'11 (155lb) I don't need any workout, I barely have enough energy for work, lol.

No. This is going to sound pathetic, but I remember one time I started running on a treadmill and I just started bawling my eyes out because of the thought that it would take such a long time to see any results. I avoided the treadmill since then.

When I was a teenager, I did 500 pushups, 500 situps, dumbbells, running, etc. nearly every day. Nowadays I barely exercise. I'm not in amazing shape like I used to be, but I'm still healthier and stronger than lots of people.

I dance Hare Hare Yukai for at least 10 times as soon as I wake up.

Just kidding. I workout for a total span of 15 minutes, then I take a 3-month break afterwards.

I love doing cardio. I mainly enjoy running, but I also like to bike sometimes too when I'm in the right mood for it.
I can't stand strength training, though, which is why I have the upper body strength of a goldfish. :|

Of course I work out. 5 times per week if I have a goal in mind. 2 - 4 times per week as standard.

If at the gym I may do a cardio session. One hour on the treadmill covering about 10 - 12km. Or an hour on the cross fit. If doing weights I tend to stick with the machines rather than free weights unless I’m doing deadlifts or something. Just my preference. I don’t like having to put the weights back and all that so I like the machines. I will do two hours on the machines at the gym.
The above is time consuming and gym isn’t free since I left the military so I workout at home too. Especially in these Covid times.

At home I do circuits for 30mins - 1 hour. Or run in the park or around my local area for an hour out on the street.

When exercising at home I watch anime dubbed. This is the best way to watch anime and there is no excuse for any anime watcher to be out of shape. This hobby is perfect for exercising your body. You only need your eyes and ears for anime so get to work you sloth fuckers. 🦥

I tried but damn, you really have to be dedicated to have consistent results.
I refuse to invest that much time and effort into something that is so impermanent.
You have to be really passionate, because it's a life-long commitment, otherwise you lose everything in a few years.

I'm talking about lifting btw.
I do many push-up sessions per week and I always take the stairs (44 flights of stairs everyday). That's something I can do everyday and it keep me in shape without much effort.

When I was younger I did because I did sports, now my body is old and damaged from those sports so I'm lazy and in pain. I play beat saber and boxvr regularly when the weather isn't stuck in a perpetual horrible heatwave though and both of those can burn a lot of calories and work your arms and legs out on a basic level. Especially the latter game as it's made for working out specifically and keeps your arms very busy and up the whole time and you also have to squat a fuck ton. Also some half assed dancing in vrchat occasionally.

Better than nothing and being an agoraphobic cripple nothing is the other option.

Push ups
Sit ups
Crunches
Pull ups
Jumping jacks
Free weights
4 miles a day
Punching bag

4-5 days a week, 3 hours a day.
My training used to be more intense when I was boxing but it's too overwhelming for me now, and takes me back to darker times on occasion, and I just try to have more of a all-around-build, so to speak, than get bulky again - that is not fun....

I hate Japanese gyms with passion. They are mainly designed for wimps, people who are only interested in losing weight and elderly people. 90% of the area is filled with useless machines that people barely even use. You'll often find over 10 leg extension machines in the gym but only a single power rack that you usually need to make a reservation for a few hours in advance if you want to use it.

What's even worse is that the average temperature is like 28 degrees Celsius (probably over 80 F for my American friends) during the summer mainly due to a widespread misconception that exercising in a hot room helps you lose weight which is not only false but also dangerous.

So yeah, calling it a "workout" would be an exaggeration.

I still try to exercise at least a few times per week. If I can't or don't want to go to the gym I just do squats at home.

I don’t mean to put pressure on you, RP. You should go at your own pace but do it for yourself. You know that you should / can do a bit more. How about just once per week to start and for 25mins instead of 15mins? The length of a single anime episode 😊
We start with baby steps, yes? You can do it. I believe in you. Plus every Filipino I have ever met has been really nice and some I even fucked so I’m really rooting for you.

Watching an episode of anime while working out seems like a good idea. I'm surprised I haven't tried it yet. Long time ago, I used to do some exercises while reading a book, which kind of worked for me, downside is the exercises you can do are limited. Perhaps I'll try it this weekend while I finish that Dumbbell anime.

Also, can someone recommend a set of workout that's available on YouTube? I used to do HIIT, but I would like to try a different one once I get started again.

That’s a good idea watching YouTube. There is also a section on Twitch for exercise and stuff. Maybe you can find people on Instagram too. Check my blog post for more on workouts.

By the way HIIT can be done on the treadmill, bike machine, step machine and cross fit aswell as in a studio or at the park. I take it to u like to exercise with other people or with instructions. That’s fine do it however you think works best for you. Might be harder to watch anime at the same time that way though but at least it gives you some ideas on how to make exercise more fun and exciting. Also don’t forget the more you do it the more you want to do it and the better it feels during and afterwards 😘

Of course. I run in the mornings (sometimes in the evenings too), go swimming, do yoga (want to try bikram yoga, but I’m a bit concerned if my body can handle all the heat).
After all the information I’ve read about positive impact daily physical activity has on one’s health - I want to workout even more. Highly recommend FoundMyFitness.com, it’s so motivating.

When Corona started, I became super lazy and didn't do anything for my body. To me, not exercising is wrong, it feels disgusting and I was so ashamed of myself for not even bothering to do something as simple as push-ups and sit-ups during lockdown.

I guess what worked for me is that I went online and bought a bar with weights and had it shipped to my doorstep. Seeing that thing lying around my house basically guilt-tripped me back into trying to be healthy and fit.

I do until I don't for a while. Didn't do no workout for at least a year now. Before that, I'd stop for shorter periods of time more or less. Blame college dorm life.

Fuck me if I have a good reason not to do it now. Cycling to get anywhere and basketball legit helped me not get a beer belly from my food and beer intake for the last year or so, I think. Or maybe it's just my metabolism lul
Did calisthenics in the summer and just go to the gym when it gets colder five times a week.

Just the basics, at home.
On days I have time, I'd walk maybe 45 mins to 1.5hrs.
And then I'd do push ups, sit ups, squats, front/side/back shoulder, bicep/tricep.
Nothing too heavy. Just with light weight dumbbells/barbells

These, and a change of diet alone made me lose 20kg and changed my mental health drastically for the better lol
I can't imagine what I'd look and feel like if I got serious. Must be great

I honestly want to join a membership at the gym, but my schedule's always busy af and I don't have friends and I don't wanna join alone, so.....
