I watched the original that dubbed into my native language and it translated very well even the gags! Unfortunately I can't find the dubbed version until now. And honestly perhaps this is one of few anime that the dubbed version I like better than the original.
I like the 2017 version because not only it has updated gags but also Kukuri and Nike voice managed to bring a new life to the series..
I see you are also like Mahoujin Guruguru. The anime was also part of my childhood and it is awesome. And, it seems they also nailed it with the remake in 2017, how do you think?
