| So is there such series in your recent memories? Those that start off strong at ep1~3, and you feel that it has potential to be your new favourite, only to drop into oblivion after you finish it. For me there're some. Death Note starts off very exciting, maybe a 9 material, and then drop all the way to 6 after the N arc and ending. (The manga ending is even worse) For recent one, Mahoutsukai no Yome starts off quite strong, thought it's a 9 material at first, and then drop all the way to 6 in the end due to continuing worsen story and characters dynamic. Kino's Journey 2017 first 3 episodes are pretty awesome, thought it's a 9 material first, then drop all the way to 6 in the end too with that lackluster ending and many weird episodes. I know there're alot of harsh marker in the discussion section of Mal, that they just rate everything a 6 and below , and asking here is probably not the wisest idea , but still... |

| Kokkoku easily, it was so cool at first, kidnapping story, badass grandpa, statis, cool concepts, but then what? some kind of hulk mutant transformation that becomes eyes,lungs and stuff stitched by some strings that can kill anyone into becoming a baby. The most random anime i've watched in a while, it just does whatever it want and i didnt even mention everything for spoiler reasons. |

| Sword art online, Mirai Nikki also started out very promising and turned to shit... Attack on Titan also. But it never becomes as shit as the others. I started reading the manga and it bored me to hell and I thought the story was shit. First season is good. Something similar happened with Knigths of Sidonia, first season is easily a 10 in my book and second is a 6 or a 7 |

Might as well start the show high so in the end it doesn't drop to like 1 or so lolz.. Plus if the show starts with like 6, I probably would have just drop it at the beginning. To me a show lower than 5 is hardly worth continuing , especially if it's that bad since early on.. Everyone has different ways of marking, but for me it's leaning toward the deduction strategy. |

| Basically almost every slice of life anime that I've watched. I always give them a high score of 7-9 but end up lowering their score by 2-4 after I think about the anime in-depth after I complete it/after I finish a few episodes. |

| Parasyte. Went from 10/10 to 6/10 in the span of 3 episodes toward the end. The greenpeace-esque ending is so tired that even the parodies making fun of it is tired now. Re:Zero had a very strong first 14 episodes, then then show had no idea how to handle tone anymore for some reason and Betelgeuse's squawking throughout the third act sucked all the tension out of any scene he was a part of, and by the end I didn't care about anything. Charlotte also took a huge nosedive after episode 8 or so. Went from charming to needlessly convoluted with a bunch of time travel plots and a last episode that could've been its own season. |
| I've never had one drop that drastically. I update throughout while watching series, but almost always I am within 2 scores - whether going up or down - of my initial estimate. Recent 2-Score increase that comes to mind: School Days 6 -> 8 (that ending tho) Recent 2-Score decrease that comes to mind: Beatless 8 -> 6 (ughhhhh) Also, I've NEVER started a show out on a 10/10, that's a score I've only given 18 times out of nearly 1,000 scored, and it definitely comes at the end, and gives me a sense of feeling whole. |

| I don't think I've ever had a series fall that far. Like maybe a 1 point drop from my initial impression but never a 3 or higher drop. Granted I only rate at the end but series I hate I tend to hate them the whole way through and if I greatly enjoyed a majority of a series than it's going to be a primarily good rating. |
