| As long as I keep watching a respectable amount of seasonals each season, I think that these will always be my favorite of the tournaments. I was going to nominate Ruri no Houseki, but as it is already snagged, rather than go with one of my lesser favorites of the new series (or a two cour from spring), I'll opt instead for nominating a new season of a pre-summer 2025 series, since from my understanding that is allowed within the parameters set out. As is often the case, regardless and in spite of its dismal chances of advancement, I'll nominate Arknights season 3: https://myanimelist.net/anime/58749/Arknights__Rise_from_Ember?q=arknights&cat=anime I don't normally nominate non-new series for the seasonals contest, but it was my favorite thing released not just for this individual season but the year thus far as a whole. And I don't know how many or what percentage of the usual participants have seen it, but some of those who have can attest to its quality in numerous areas. Plus, compared to some folks who follow many of the series which are longer and ongoing or with multiple seasons every year or every other year for years running now (battle shounen, romcoms, isekai, etc.), not as many of the series I actively follow get new seasons that often or at all, so I should jump at the chance. | @Hiyajo-san It's hard to watch anime in weekdays, because you actually need to dedicate time to it besides working, and because it didn't get dubbed it's very annoying to read while eating, so that time is gone too! |

Haha indeed it's probably not serious and epic enough for most people to consider as a true AOTY or even AOTS contender but it's so rare to find a comedy anime that's genuinely funny. And yeah Yuu and really all the characters were likeable, and the VAs did a top tier job timing and delivering their lines to make the jokes work. It had a fun opening song too and I liked the attention to detail like in the eye catches in the middle of each episode |
