I did not like Sasaki stopped a bullet, or Woke up as a girl. In Sasaki, they failed to portray a school shooting in a very serious realistic manner and it feels like a sham to those who have survived such a scenario.
Woke up as a girl perpetuates male "manliness" as if all men need to act the same exact way or live by some sort of code. The beauty of life is in diversity.
The characters are just your run of the mill highschool tropes
Watashi is a jackass stereotypical loner neet with social issues.
Akashi is the girl he really likes.
Ozu is trying to ruin Watashi's life.
and then everyone else is so forgettable.
Watashi is also unlikable yeah. He's just annoying.
It had a nice soundtrack and the visuals were mesmerizing and that is all.
There was no feeling of progress, it's sort of just escapism for high schoolers.
It's extremely overrated (8.55 rating somehow) especially considering it's lack of actual content.

I feel this part whenever they include some tiddy jiggle in the middle of a fight scene lol, I almost view the fanservice as part of the comedy because of how unappealing it looks with the art style.
I don't exactly have an issue with the fanservice's execution (it's so exaggerated that it feels in line with the show's dumb fun tone) but I do agree that having the first guy introduced be some middle-aged loser and the first woman introduced be a smoking hot young teacher is kinda dumb.

However with Mai, all she did was tell Sakuta to keep quiet.
They took the complex monogatari characters and cut them to simplicity.

and then simplifying them down to the bare minimum.
