Hi, so I like to watch animu and stuff. I grew up watching DBZ/Pokemon/Yugioh etc just as most people on this site did, and was how I was introduced to the medium. I didn't really branch out from the mainstream popular anime until around 2010-2011 when I first watched Clannad and Angel Beats. Afterward I got a bit hooked and went out to find whatever else I could watch 0_o.
I'm a lot more of a casual watcher than a lot of people on here, but I still get majorly sucked-in to a good anime to the point where I'll watch the entire thing within a day or two, so I have that down at least! Also, I rate primarily on how much I enjoyed something, so that's why you'll see something like YuGiOh higher than Akira. If anything on my drop doesn't have a score, it's because I either simply thought it was boring or had biased/personal reasons to drop it that wouldn't make sense to anyone else. I'll give almost anything an episode or 2, but I'm a lot more likely to enjoy the following genres - Romcom (Toradora's one of my favorites. Will enjoy most, even if they aren't great) Adventure (Think Dragon Ball/Made in Abyss) Josei/Seinen (Something more adult that isn't afraid to take itself seriously) Action/Shounen/Sports/Mystery (Anything that knows how to shamelessly hype the hell out of itself) Hit or miss: Pure Comedy Sci-fi Slow moving realistic drama. I probably will not like: Ecchi Most hentai Pure Yaoi or Yuri (has to be Shounen/Shoujo Ai for for me to be interested at all. If Yaoi/Yuri happens as a result, then that's fine) Iyashikei (I don't really relate to watching anime for relaxation/therapeutic reasons. Even if I do, it will always be in the dub) I also hate subtitles in slice of life/comedy anime and will not watch until it becomes dubbed.  Wonderful cover, wonderful song. |
